A landmark for any game and no real EM in-game Event?

I expected/hoped for some sort of Mass Shard-wide invasion, something to be remebered, maybe a few arties and/or new tameables so every playstile gets something (or a chance ar something) not just a trinket/robe used for Sampires or mystic/mages ... something that would re-shape the UO landscape.

Global arc is not wrapped up yet either... soooo, no telling what is in store. Patience is a virtue they should have added in game, but I guess they knew in advance only a handful of players would ever master it

I dont mind waiting, as long as there is something to wait for... (like waiting for the proverbial bus that never comes)
And if there is nothing to wait for, that's ok, just means a great opportunity wasted to do something amazing for the community imho.

Truth be told, I was a little disappointed as well with the anniversary gifts. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but we got one new deco item (harpsichord), and then some recycled heritage tokens. Don't get me wrong, the harpsichord is well done, but is that really all we get to celebrate 15 years of UO? Yes, I guess we also got the hour glasses which are a nice change from the snow globes, but overall this was just really anti-climatic.

I was expecting something more along the lines of a new "heritage token" that offered an option of 15-20 new items not currently available. Nothing game changing, but some new deco, armor set, or minor utility items. I really cant believe that all they did was throw in an old heritage token and call it good. *sigh. The harpsichord was an awesome start... but should have been one of like 10-15 options to choose from some kind of 15th year anniversary token.

I can understand that. For me, I can not imagine they utilized so much talent/time/energy in the global arc fiction only to have it wrap up without some big deal at the end. Had they stopped the fiction after the battle with Exodus, or when Blackthorn reappeared, then I would have assumed that point was the icing on the cake. With fiction still going on... I think the bus is still a few roads over and headed our way.

Well, if there ''is'' some event and does give out some items, as i said i hope all templates are catered for... something for bards and tamers (new decent tameable perhaps as tired of everyone lugging around a GD and no other pet is viable for most situations)

They will never learn! Giving mass amounts of items out is not the answer, 7 items per shard X 16 shards? It's just stupid. It should be 10-20 NEW items and one item per account or even per shard!
1. makes people open accounts if they want new items (brings in more revenue and maybe gets some old people coming back)
2. gives value to the items instead of seeing them littered on the ground.
