I agree, both Catskills and Europa have active RP communities. Depending on your time zone / play hours, you can easily find things to do with both.

Wouldn't mind joining an RP community on Europa, if it will have me. It's rather quiet now on Drachenfels, even though a week or two ago, I had a little taste of RP such as I loved to play it years ago. Is there a website with RP-related info for Europa? When and where do they gather, please?
Do you use Discord at all? If you do, add me at Judas#8175 and I could put you in touch with some Europa role-players that I know frequent there.
*giggle* I thought you meant the skill, and was already thinking I'd need to create a new bard character. I suppose that will make it obvious that I don't use Discord... yet. I'll install it and get in touch.

No, I haven't forgotten this. Just been terribly busy the past weeks. As soon as I get the chance, I'll log back into UO. Right now it's all I can do to occasionally cast a glance at my vendors and empty my sheep, mining cart and tree stump. I hate resources going to waste.
Maybe they are using the official forum to post their info or maybe they are posting in the shard section or maybe they just play and do not post.
No problem. Twenty years ago, I wouldn't have been able to say this, but I can live without RP.

The way I figure it is: If I'm in-game and playing the character, then I'm Role-Playing, whether my character runs into anyone else or not.
On Great Lakes there's respectable odds of running into someone almost anyplace I go. If it's not someone from the RP Community on GL (which, contrary to popular belief, does still exist and does still do its thing), then I can still RP with them by either not breaking character or only breaking it to a very limited degree. Most people seem to know what's going on and most people are willing to roll with it. (Or one might say "role" with it. Ho, ho!) GL's good that way.
