Haven't bought a booster yet and only got to play the beta once. For those who have it, Is it worth the $15?
And also how much storage increase does it give?

Its worth it and I would say eitherwise.

Smooth ships. Cools ships. Interesting additions. Expansion of crafting. Resources are needed to repair and manage ships. Boss monsters nice, though Scalis loot sucks.

And graphics look good in 2d and 3d.

Well, im putting off buying the booster pack because of all the posts about problems with UO Codes not working properly.
That aside, ill probably get it on one account only. Im getting it mainly for the new bosses, and the increased house storage (as none of my account houses are huge, and im always putting off getting an 18 by 18 cause i love the locations of my medium sized houses.
Money wise, for me its worth it just for the 20 percent increased storage, 15 bucks is just a little more than one month subscription so imo not really an issue. Hell i know im not alone in spending a few thousand bucks over 13 years, so i figure another 15 bucks is just a drop in the UO bucket.

If you're on a shard where they've added more NPC alchemists for saltpeter, perhaps. If you're on a shard that still only has one, it's just frustrating because of all the camping out and hoarding being done.

Absolutely.
In my opinion, the best changes for UO in the past 5 years were probably Imbuing and the High Seas Booster.

Storage is 20%.
Depends on what you do in UO you can live without it.

Best would be to ask guildmates.

I am not disappointed. Sailing the high seas is a blast. *Cannon Shot*

I don't have a crafting mule, and so far on Atlantic the High Seas cannons and materials are being sold in tiny quantities for outrageous prices. I'm not paying 50k for ten cannonballs when they take like six ingots and zero skill to make.

Give it time... All these craftables will be available soon. In abundance and at decent prices. Avoid price gouging!

A few days ago, I asked if you needed to upgrade with the booster to use or equip the new items listed in the Publish 68 notes (see Welcome to the High Seas! - Publish 68 Notes | Mythic Entertainment | Ultima Online for the list). Cal responded that you do. ( http://vboards.stratics.com/1837535-post34.html )

If Cal's response is accurate then that means characters on accounts that aren't upgraded cannot equip of the new spellbooks. They cannot eat the new pies to get the new buffs. They cannot craft the new mounted fish or decorate with them. They cannot equip the new armor, sash, or jewelry. They cannot equip the new weapons. They can't decorate with the animated field of blades. They cannot locate and dig up level 7 maps. They can't paint a boat.

I have my suspicions about the complete accuracy of Cal's answer, but little interest in testing it. But it may be something else to keep in mind (along with the storage increase and the new content) if you're still trying to decide whether to spend money on upgrading with the booster pack.

I intend to upgrade 2 of my 4 accounts this weekend now that I have a break from work. I want to join in on the battles with Corgul, Scallis, and the new Lvl 7 maps.

Question -- on UOGameCodes, can I buy 2 upgrades in the same transaction? Or should I buy them seperately?

Should have been content that was included in subscription price IMO (except for the storage).

I personally feel like I paid 14.99 for extra storage for a few accounts, and got some much needed content as part of my subscription price. At least... this is what I am telling myself.

I had one and a half days to play with the High Seas and was fully enjoying it; unfortunatly, I had to go on vacation and do not have access to a good enough computer to actually play and am stuck following the booster developments via the boards.

I will enjoy my vacation none the less, but can not wait to get home and fully explore the High Seas.

Just buying increased storage at the UO Store would cost more than the booster.....

So, yes....I would say it is worth it

i'm holding out until we get new clothes.
No pirate/sailor clothes, no $15 bucks for any of my accounts.

If you don't have a crafting mule, stay away. Ship fighting requires an INSANE amount of crafting overhead, and so far almost no one is even bothering to sell the stuff.

Now that the saltpeter issue is fixed, i'd say it's worth it.

Though.. its buggy I think. I upgraded 2 accounts, and only 1 of them benefited from the 20% storage increase. Im going to have to page about that.

But anyway, great expansion. Boats are fun (depsite the tediousness of crafting the components).... pirating/anti-pirating is **EXTREMELY** un-profitable.. it will cost you tons of money... but its fun. think of it as an expensive hobby.

Fishing changes are great.

People (myself included) have been asking for the oceans to be developed now for like, 7+ years.. now they've done it. It's worth it!

To fire your guns you need a match. A match is made by tinkers with some boards and some match cord.

To make match cord with alchemy you need yarn, water, potash, and saltpeter.

Potash is created by alchemy with boards and water.

Saltpeter is bought from one of a few vendors that is bought out constantly every time the refill.

Once you craft your potash and combine it with saltpeter to make match cord and craft your match cord into matches, congratulations, you have a match to light your cannon with!

What, you need gunpowder? Well that's a whole different list of seven hundred steps. Once you've done all of this, you'll be able to go out and throw money away by fighting with your ship. Yeah, you didn't think capturing pirates, or pirating merchants, was anything that would turn a profit did you?

Sounds like a tedious, mind-blowing blast that only the truly sadistic would enjoy.

Reason #5 I'm glad I didn't upgrade.

You can checkout any time you like,
But you can never leave...

And yes, get the booster, if for no other reason than the devs need to be encouraged when they add fun stuff like this. :)
