Thanks to a Whiterabbit talking about Pitmuck and making me curious. I guess at sometime in the long ago days I played here for a while around 2006 since I have two accounts with semi developed characters and gift bags from 06. Sure can't remember playing here though..... I did some exploring of this strange land and was surprised to see even though it is low pop that that there are more people than my home shards of Siege and Legends running around.
I scrounged enough gold from the accounts that have characters on them to buy a garg ship to use as a temp home while deciding if I am going to become a perm stain on this shard and place a house and had enough skill and iron to arm it with a few heavy cannons.... Must have spent some amount of time here to a smith into the 90s and GM alchy. I cashed in a vet reward for a shard shield to Ches so I could bring a character that could do more than play with ignots and hammers and as usual when I do a transfer forgot to put gold in the character transfer account LOL. So Lee arrived with a few basic items and a bank balance of ZERO so some quick hunting was in order to keep the stable paid and more importantly get the pet I had out stabled after the transfer. Then I went hopped on the shiny new ship with Big Stinky and went and visited this Pitmuck island, where I come from we just call it cresent island and it is pretty bland. Certainly no ICE CREAM on this island where I come from. After spying on the Goblins of Pitmuck for a bit I sailed on up to Ocrina Island where or as I call it on Siege Port Tyr and Tyrtown are. Was kind of hoping the keep spot would be open but was not disappointed when I found a keep there, it is a good location after all. After sailing around a bit I decided to try and communicate with the Natives of this strange shard. Someone actually at Brit Bank! and then someone else!! and then off to Luna. Perhaps I just met the shard freaks but my first impression is that RP is strong on Ches. That is a + for me. As expected there are plenty of great housing spot available including some of my personal favorites another + the people I met and talked to were friendly yep another +
Now I am going to log in and explore the dead tree tomb stone side of Chess looks like. While I don't PvP I do enjoy spending most of my time in the dead tree tombstone lands. Who knows maybe Ches is where I will spend my limited game time through the summer of 2016, I do like the shard so far.
