All I could find to re-boot was an old 8th age disk - on cable it took about two hours of patching, if I remember right. I SHOULD have just downloaded from the site...but I prefer boxes and disks (hint hint)
Downloaded the latest SA classic client from the uo homepage, 30mins

And the patching took me less than an hour, just on a standard dsl connection..

I also did it that way, 'cause I didn't trust my SA CD

I have all my UO cds but I went to tech forum EA link and dwl'd UO from there.
I began at 1:15pm central time. At approx. 1:36 pm the dwld itself was done to whatever year that their ea dwld. finishes. Then all their patches since 9th anniv. to the present dwl'd.
At 2:45pm central I said hi to some dog, on my UO porch on Siege. The dog spoke to me and I to him. Guess he was lookin for full spellbooks off me vendor but those sold out.
I have more stuff to figure out on this new studio 17 i7 thingie yet so I won't be restockin till this stuff is all done and I am in game regular like. But first order of business and work is ..getting this laptop set up totally.
Now to go back to the OLD computer later on tonite, to get all my UO chrs. options from that, to apply to my chrs. to be the same or more like I prefer on THIS laptop computer, to play UO like I prefer.
Took most of the day to get ONLINE, properly, with this new fangled thing, hey I am no puter geek wizard ya know. It has been 10 yrs. since I had to start a computer from scratch get go out of the box to set up. Ima used to 28k modem and a win xp. LOL
This all is gonna take me, some time.
