Lets talk spawns...

In YOUR opinion, what is the best temp to do a champ spawn with?

Depends upon the spawn, whether you are gonna solo it, and whether you expect to get raided.

I've found that a standard sampire template works fairly well but some spawns will kill your weapon in a hurry.

But a peace necro/mage also works fairly well.

The larger issue is beefed up champs. As found out the other day, some champs seem to be beyond "standard" templates. Seems like team play for champs may be required along with a discorder to help on the "hard" spawns beyond a coon.

Well, it's wierd... Rand Al Thor and I did a coon the other night, and I had a fencer dexxer with 100 poison area wep, and a vermin tails... I can usually get through the spawn myself that way, but it took us an hour to kill coon, he had a necro mage and I had a dexxer... I guess your just not intended to solo spawns anymore...

My understanding is the champs got a significant bump but I'm not sure when.

I haven't used a tamer for a champ in years(back in my Napa days) so I can't comment on what the new champs look like. And I inquired about them in Uhall but nobody could answer.

Ugh I HATE using a tamer... I have a 120/120 tamer... But just HATE using it... I am not good with a tamer.

I like using a tamer for a Rikkor. Especially with the Protection spell on, so I can myself when i get targetted by a swarm of Ophid Mages.

Has anyone perfected a Necro tamer template?

yeah, juvi has one. . Not sure if he likes it yet or not. .
best spawning template.. depends on what you mean by that.. Killing the spawn quicky?? necro spellweaving. .
actually living through a raid?? Good old necro-mage.. .

Well, back in the day when Molasar and I used to go to Asain shards and farm there...

We had, peace, necro, Archer... But that was before all the champs became steroided.

hey salad, not written to provoke you gemma, but I have had many successful attacks on NMs in desp, mostly the trammies who try to do the spawn solo or with 3 ppl max and they have no immediate back up, 1v1 kills

its never been my intention to get scrolls or finish a spawn when I go to one.

all Im saying is that Im not generally like the other trammies that 'spawn' and stuff. If you find me down there in wraith form, it means I've seen you too, and Id probably just bail before the sparklies are fielded up before you fire the first shot. . you MIGHT be able to kill me in wraith and on foot, but you won't leave alive all im sayin..
