i couldnt help but think of something.

back when we had the Exodus event and only a couple of people got the new +5 stat scrolls everyone cried bloody murder.

now, its middle of summer and i was unable to do anything with this 'Cure' event.
so i had to miss out on the rewards (of lack there of).

so, since everyone cried bloody murder when they didnt get a stat scroll, or had to miss the event due to RL, so why arnt people crying foul now about loosing out of the stuff from this one?

i want some sleeves.
but i dont wanna do 300+ cures, id much rather have it spoon fed to me, kinda like how people want the +5 stat scolls done.

so if the dev's are reading this, be sure you change the tone of my message from smart assy-ness to whiny cry-iness and gimme the stuff i missed and didnt work for!

(oh hell, how do i know this thread is sooooooooo gonna get locked fast, haha!)

This is even worse then exodus not only in order to get the sleeves did you have to literally spend hours upon hours doing it..or script it.Unlike exodus...this most def needs to be implemented as an in game drop at the same time because if this is pvp groundbreaking idk what is lol..the exodus scroll would have taken an hr or two of your life and this took hours upon hours..who can actually dedicate that much time into an event..GIVE SLEEVES NOW WAH!!! Time to start a thread!!!

Guess i was the only one that did not cry over that +5 Stat Scroll, i just didn't got one and i feel not that it would kill me. Same with Event Items ... UO is not about Items ... but some Players think when they miss an Event Item, the World stops to turn around. Peoples cry even about those Halloween Masks from last year, cause Mesanna or <enter a EM Name here> did not painted them, which makes them in their eyes worthless. I think we should stop with this special Items, cause Players gets completly nuts about them, special all those Mesanna Items, which sells on ATL for 100M and more per Item. We have to many Players with $$ in their eyes.

I don't get it tho really why in the world did everybody cry about a stupid +5 scroll when there are so many better items that u can no longer get that are pretty vital to a decent suit or at least make making it much easier..such as garb or trinket.. In my eyes are worth a hell of a lot more then that useless stat scroll

An event which you could get a reward if you had dealt enough damage to a creature that appeared about 15 minutes is not the same as a month long event which the players invested weeks of their game time. On the one hand, the players who got the stat scroll spent at most an hour and the reward wasn't announced beforehand; on the other hand, the players who got the top reward from the cure event spent much more than a couple of hours every single day for a full month as they were told that only the top contributors will get the top reward.

Thus, they should take into account the time and the effort spent by the top contributors of the cure event before making those rewards available in the game, but even in that case, it is still going to be unfair since the participants had no idea what they should do to get the top reward and many, who spent the same time and effort as the players who got the top reward, didn't receive it just because of the shard they play.

I guess this is the reason why you think the thread is going to be locked (you can lock it anytime since you're a moderator already and we really won't mind at all): making the stat scroll available again was to give the players who missed the event another chance, by them spending more or less the same effort on their part to receive it. The rewards of this cure event were already announced two months prior, players already spent a great deal of time, so making it available again to the players who just didn't bother to participate doesn't make any sense. However, if they still have the figures on the cures turned in by each player, they can implement a more fair distribution, at least for the players who turned in 72 cures and 921 cures respectively, both of whom got the very same rewards.

i didnt do any of the cure stuff, but now thinking on it, i would love some of those arms as i have a couple para mages scattered around that those could be useful on!
