Someone keeps leaving books in Luna on Catskills saying Atlantic is the place to be. As a newly returned player after 5+ years, whose characters were on Catskills... I've noticed it's a little empty, a little quiet...

So, tell me, what does Atlantic have to offer that other shards don't? If I were going to move, why should I come to Atlantic. :)

All my friends I played with are long gone, so I'm wondering if it's easy to slide into groups and hunts and whatnot on Atlantic, as well.

So, yeah, talk me into it. ;)

Come visit us for a bit and see if you like it.
There are usually a bunch of peeps around New Haven & some standing about in Luna.
If the PvP'ers aren't flexing too much you can jump on general chat and see if anyone is doing an open spawn somewhere. Peeps will say things like.." doing a Mel run if anyone wants to join in ", or " Rat spawn at Humility "...
Or just head to a dungeon and see who is about.

Depends on what you like to do when you play. Role players have their Taverns & events you can attend, or you could hook up with a guild that is going on a hunt and tag along for the fun of it. Head to the Abyss and join in with the peeps working the spawns down there. Jump into the next town invasion and join those battling there. Or go to fel Yew gate and watch the action if that is your style.

See!...Tons of things to do here!...just pop in and look around.
Oh! And say hi if I happen to wander by!

The larger poulation has its advantages for sure. If you join in the group things like Rachel suggested, Navrey, the town invasions, you may get a feel for some of the groups. If you like faction / pvp Atlantic is the big leagues for sure. The PvM crowd is generally nice.

Well, I'm not really into PVP other than a random yoink on my stealth herding thief...

I'll keep poking around, see what's what.

Atlantic 2011

Everything is 3 times the price of other shards, but its also very easy to make gold for the same reason.

Its crowded. Too crowded for me. The EM events can hardly be done because there are 50-100 players causing lots and lots of lag.

Guilds - Numerous smallish pvp guild (only one large one now)
There are a good number of RP guilds, but most seem inactive currently.

There really arent any large pvm guilds, except ones that you would probably Not want to join (LLTS) United We fight is ok except theres always trouble with people getting only to rob / pk the guild members.

Theres a good number of tightly knit, really fun guilds, but they dont actively recruit and they arent going to have 20 members on at a time or anything like that.

If you pvm alot in the abyss, its not worth doing renowned spawns during peak times because everywhere is crowded.

Housing is said to be scarce, but its really not as bad as most say. Alot of 18 by 18s have gone idoc recently, and most everyone established here only wants an 18 by 18. Prices are very high for ones by water atm because of high seas. But, there are many medium sized houses for sale for decent prices, and you can place a small / medium sized house if you look a bit.

All in all, i like it, im established here. I have characters on other shards but dont play them enough to really feel connected to any other shard other than Atlantic. But its where i played since day one.

Dont just come to atlantic because of the pop. Many other shards have great EMs, and great guilds. Ive been thinking of transfering at least one character Off of Atlantic just for a change of pace.

If you collect rares its great because most sell their rares on Atlantic.
