Snake skins.. Ophidian orders.. rations... journals..

Well I don't play much (at all, even) or look at Stratics much anymore - but does anybody know if there has been any word in a HoC or from these boards of any potential use for these?

AKA, when will these be of any use!

Trev - you missed a lot. You can now trade in all these items.

Each snake skin can be traded in for 1K of barbed leather, 10 Ophidian orders for a +20 scroll for a skill of your choice, rations for 1K of any reg, journals for new T maps to level 7 chests.

Err...I think that's what did with that stuff. Not 100% certain though. *Wanders off in a daze *

We were told we would be able to turn them in sometime soon (that was about 9 mos ago we heard this) as to date nothing has come about them...

What, you mean you haven't figured out that they are part of a typical EA Quest?
Which just means to say that it was half-implemented, half-finished and now they are moving on to not finish other things (like the KR Client).

Pretty standard stuff for them over the last 10 years or so...
What, you thought Mythic would change it? Can't fathome what might give someone that impression, especially if one can only judge by actions (or lack thereof).

The items were never meant to be anything other than collectibles. Only after the Blackrock turn in later on did people start asking for a similar thing to happen to the Ophidian items.

This is like asking for colored Savage Masks to be useful 5 years after the event occurred. It shouldn't happen.

Ok, but they said there would be a use. Not blackrock turn in style as most people are now expecting due to comments earlier last year.

For fun I thought I'd see just how many items I'm holding in case they ever have a turn in for them:

Blackrock &amp; Sewer Coins - 83 items
Ophidian Weaponry - 95 items
Ophidian Rations/skins/books - 80 items(If rations were unstacked, this would prolly be doubled)
Cursed Arties - 90 items
Rubble - 145 items

My home is currently using 2017 of 4226 available storage, of which 493 are event items, and about 350 items are holiday gifts. So realistically, I have 1174 of armor/weps/resources, including about 70 MIBs which I'm too lazy to do right now. I'm not really complaining about the space too much, though I would like to see these items go towards a larger project. Even if the Britain Libray Collections added a rares collector who offered a variety of different items in exchange for aged goods.
