Snake charming/venom help?

I can't find out the procedure to milk a silver serpent of it's venom. I just became brave enough to try to hunt these big snakes and don't know, do I double click the vial and target the snake? Do I have to use the flute? It won't let me peacemake with it. I have used search on all the UO Stratics forums and can't find the answer. Please help someone who needs a Dummies book for everything.

Pinco so that means, double click flute, target serpent, double click empty vial, target serpent, is that correct?

Elden, Skinning the serpent gets me some raw ribs.

There are actually two approaches, and two separate guaranteed outcomes.

Pinco is correct on one approach, which guarantees that you will get the venom, but you may still be bitten and poisoned since charming the serpent only makes them stay still for a short time so that you can milk them.

Elden is correct on another approach. With this approach, you will *sometimes* get a vial of venom from the corpse. It is more time-consuming, but you are guaranteed not to be killed while milking the serpent, although you might get killed trying to kill 'em. Additionally, you will get the snake skin which is another good resource to have.

Almost. Double click flute, target snake, target an area around you (or you can actually target the snake again and it stops in place), get close, double click empty venom vial, target serpent, hopefully receive 1 venom, repeat the double click empty venom vial, target serpent, hopefully receive 2nd venom. Repeat milking process till you get two venoms from each snake and then kill the snake so another spawns. Check corpse for any extra venoms or silver snake skins (plus the regular gold and gems and other things like ancient pottery frags)

You can also do it in stealth without charming it, sneak up to the snake and stealth milk it. You **** it off quite often though so the chance is about 1/5. my advice is just bring some cure pots, since poison is completely useless against them.
