Does Arms Lore help on a smith as far as the outcome when smithing?

GM arms lore

armor +5 resists random spread

weapons +5 damage increase . normal except weapons have 35 damage increase. with GM arms lore you have 40 damage increase. There is NO reason NOT to have gm arms lore on your smith. After all, a smith crafts. So craft armor with higher resists? craft weapons with higher damage? its a no brainer.
