Smelting new faction gear?

Fun idea.

It seems at least on Siege there is a problem with may of the faction guilds selling back the faction gear they have aquired from the opposing faction players. Lots of bickering back and forth, and it seems many are close to just throwing the gear in the trash.

Instead of this...

It would be kinda cool if these guilds could smelt the opposing faction gear into shiney new silver ingots, each would have the hue of the faction they aquired this loot from, and then give the factioneers something to lock down to the steps of their homes...la

Maybe you could even trade in the silver ingots for silver coins, so the faction players could actually get more silver from farming players instead of farming monsters...la

No. Just get rid of the stupid "Owner" crap that's attached to it.

We have a healthy economy and didn't need it in the first place... unlike every other shard in this game.

Ehhh, it doesn't bother me that the items are tagged for each player. Otherwise, you'd have guilds that would have a stock room full of the faction gear for their team to use. To me it's similar to the hero/evil dyes Siege factions have had...la

The faction gear is worse for Siege than blessed helms and leggings were. They need to be done before we lose too many more of our already low population.

faction items are a good idea, i remember back when i played before, i would be like "what the heck am i supposed to use this silver for" and "there is no reward for killing lots of enemies?"

but the current system sucks, artifacts should be artifacts

i think silver should not spawn on monters, only players

and silver should be spendable on faction exsclusive items, that are not overpowered or bound to player

examples
faction ruinic hammer
makes magic items of the factions color, with strength based on rank of the person who bought it, and how much silver was spent

maybe faction members could use silver to buy faction armor that was a little bit better then gm armor, and has some mods

but this artifact stuff is just stupid
