Slightly unusual 'condemned house' question...

So, here's the situation :

I have more than one account, but have not been playing for a while - decided to start again, so logged in on my 'main' and took a tour of my houses. All were still in good condition except one, which was in the very first stage of decay. That house is behind Yew abbey, on land that was, when it was placed, legal for building - but apparently the plot status changed in the tweaking with the town boundaries that went on with the current stage of the events, and the house was tagged 'illegally placed' as a result.

Went to the Gamecodes site, paid for gametime on that account, logged in a few minutes later - the house is still 'slightly worn' and 'condemned'. Now the 'slightly worn' would normally disappear around next server start, since the account is now paid for - but the 'illegally placed' status might be an issue....
I've emptied the place just in case, and it might not fall - I'm certain it should not were it not for the 'illegally placed' tag it's acquired.

Anyone ever experienced this rather odd situation before - and since my past experience talking to GMs about this sort of thing is not good... any suggestions where I raise the issue to see if I can stop it falling? Maybe paranoia, but I'd rather try resolve the question before the house falls, since that's pretty final and it wouldn't be replaced!

I have found that it could take up to about 48 hours until the house would refresh.
I don't think the illegally placed status should be a problem, there are many things that could change to make that appear.

Now, something similar happened to me a month ago also. I have 3 accts and they hadn't been active in almost 6 months. I'm not the richest, but I will say I have ALOT of stuff... 120s, almost every arty from doom, bout 30 million in checks, a full set of tokuno dyes, blah blah blah.

At any rate, I activate one thinking my houses probably fell and low and behold it's just greatly worn. I check the other three and same status, so I hurriedly activated all of them. They still remained in their stage of decay. Next day, I expect them to go back and being worried, I checked after server up and now IDOC. One of my houses just have junk, so I start emptying it into the other two as fast as I could. I figure I don't have much time left. I made a post on a guild's website and one of the members tells me that it takes a little bit after server up.

I don't know that for sure so I am still frantic and continue to empty the house. At some point about 9 am, when most idocs fall at my time, they caught up and all of them were normal.

I don't know about the illegally placed ones, but that was what happened to me. :)

the server just has to refresh, it should be fine in a day or 2 but if it hit idoc, page a gm & explain best as u can with the least words as u cant put much in there

illegally placed just means that soemthing changed near u, like a house or tree or something, if the house was to drop, it couldnt be replaced at that size, but its perfectly fine to have & keep a house that improperly placed. I had one for years all cuz my neighbor behind me changed his steps.

I thought once a home was in decay it has to be transferred to another account or it will fall.

yah im betting too the house as past the 90 day grace period after account went inactive...and into decay..when u reactiavte the account it does take over 24 hours to refresh..

ive seen the odd person playing with russian roulette this way letting keeps go into decay then refrshing them when they are gw!! so they atually refrsh in the later stages of 'idoc'...dangerous game...hehehheeeee

Are there any vendors at these locations?
Nope, although ironically I had a plan for it to be a vendor house is I start back playing regularly

Stucky - I think that used to be true, I do seem to remember at least at one point that was the only cure, but apparently now if you reopen the owning account the status will refresh (assuming you don't leave it too late, as others have said it can take a couple of days for the system to realise and repair the house status).

Only thing making me paranoid about this particular case is the 'illegally placed' status, can't seem to get a clear answer from EA/Mythic if it will affect the condemned status or not. Quite possible it won't, but it would seem logical that the programming views 'illegally placed' as 'should not be there', so whilst it never tries to make the house collapse (because unless it's in the decay cycle, the game never 'looks' to see if it's legal or not), it may well pick up on the status when checking for decay stages... might not, of course, but I'm paranoid enough to at least wonder

Good news (for me anyway!), a few minutes ago the house went from condemned to 'automatically refreshed', so now all I have to do is move everything back in and refurnish!
