Slayers and Spells

Slayer Spellbooks seem to only apply to Magery spells (minus Mind Blast) and Mysticism spells, while completely ignoring Necro Spells and SWing spells. Anyone find themselves wishing that Slayer Spellbooks worked with spells such as Mind Blast, Poison Strike, Strangle and a few others that they should, but don't?

Mind Blast is the only single target Cold damage spell (other than Harm, which is affected heavily by range, and who wants to Harm spam a Greater Dragon at point blank range?), although it doesn't require Eval for damage. Poison Strike is the only non-DoT based Poison spell that deals instant damage. If Slayer Instruments can affect Despair, then i don't see why Slayer Spellbooks shouldn't affect Strangle. Wildfire, Thunderstorm and Essence of Wind aren't affected by Slayers either, when they should be. Wither shouldn't be affected by Slayers, for obvious reasons (it's already powerful).

I want to see WoD in a SDI suit holding a Spider Slayers Scrappers at Navrey. That wouldn't be over powered at all.

Considering not to long ago they nerfed SDI on area mystic/magery spells that hit multiple targets (greatly reducing damage)..... I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for your suggestions.

When they changed Mind Blast into an anti-dexxer spell, the spell had purpose outside of a standard explosion/ebolt combo. Post AOS, however, Mind Blast became kind of worthless, and then once Hail Storm came about, the DPS obviously favored Hail Storm.

As mentioned, the Hail Storm nerf made things a bit more even, except Hail Storm is affected by slayer spell books and mindblast isn't. So, yeah, I agree, Mind Blast needs to be completely reverted to just a regular single target damage spell with slayer proc, because otherwise it's a completely worthless spell next to Hail Storm.

Now then, Necro/SW, no. Essence of Wind w/o slayer and 5th/6th circle can clear an entire screen of low tier champ spawn spawn, and is fine where it is. Also, Poison Strike is seldom used, and when it is, you're usually using it on something that you can't use a slayer to kill. Not to say Necro can't be looked at, but in the interim, Mind Blast slayer proc is an easy yes, the rest would need to be thought about a little more. (But man, Poison Strike slayer proc Fey would kill Cu Sidhe's pretty fast...lol so fast...).
