Slayer Weapons

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to acquire slayer weapons, specifically undead and demon swords. I have looked all over the place and found none worthwhile to buy. Is it best to just hunt high end monsters and hope for the best, or burn low end runics? Thanks.

Copper and Bronze runics are the best to get decent slayer weapons from.
Unfortunatly the daft market prices have put the bronze runics at around 350k so you mite aswell just offer to buy a decent one from somebody around Luna.

Dull Copper or Shadow Iron runics can both give any superslayer as a possible mod. They're very cheap to buy from player vendors and have 50 uses for DC and 45 for SI, so you get a whole lot more bang for your buck by burning those.

FOr an archer the recipe bows cover those slayers well. Want to earn it yourself then just start turning in boards to the vesper museum for a chance at one the 6 random super slayer kryss. Its UBWS.

The silver etched mace receipe always give undead slayer as a property. Use a DC or shadow runic hammer to make them with extra properties and you'll have a semi decent undead slayer.

No such receipes for swords though. Old haven paladin quest used to give a undead slayer sword, but now that it has been destroyed...

However, there's an axe from the vesper museum collection that might suit your needs:

Thanks for the tip about silver etched maces, forgot about them. My question on burning through dc and shadow runics is... aren't they cheap for a reason? Will they make anything worth having? My point is i DO have a demon slayer already, its just that it has like 3 hci and 12 HLD, and I was looking for something better. Thanks

EDIT: Also, I feel like the vesper swords would be a terribly inefficient use of time and money. Basically I dont want to donate thousands of boards and then get a reptile slayer.

With a dc and shadow runic you can get 1-2mods of up to 100%intensity,

So, you could make a demon slayer 30%SSI, or Undead slayer 15HCI. you get my drift.

Copper and above will give 2-3mods so you can get a better weapon, but they cost a HELL of alot more!!!

Also, dont forget the holy sword from the heritage tokens.

Best ways to get undead and Demon Sword weapons:

1) Scour vendors all over your shard.

2) Go to the Trade Forums and post what you want. You may end up needing to xshard them, but you might get lucky on your own shard as well.

3) Make your favorite weapon with your Blacksmith using the highest level Runics you can afford. Your odds aren't good, but you could eventually end up with a very nice slayer and you might be able to sell a few of your rejects or hold them for imbuing. I wouldn't bother using DC or Shadow since they will end up with (at best) one other property. Bronze is the lowest level I'll even consider using, but I made my slayers with Agapite hammers.

For the Undead weapon, there's also the option of equipping an Undead Talisman from Halloween 2008.

For Demon slayers, copper's and bronze's are probably your best friends. Not cheap, but I think they're worth a try.
