slayer weapons question

Do all slayer weapons drop as loot on all monsters now or is it still "the opposing group" that drop them?

example: i'm looking for earth elemental and elemental slayers. do i fight the abyss group (deamons and balrons) to get them or do i just go out and kill anything?

just kill anything the higher end it is the easier it will be to get the mods you desire
example
you could get one off a headless maybe but its mods would be very low and very few

or you could fight tsuskin wolves and have a better chance to get more mods and higher intensity it all depends on what you are comfy fighting
