Slayer damage versus Super Slayer damage???

I was going to rant about this.

I've had a scribe about 12 years. It's hard to make a Superslayer spellbook. Believe me when I say this. It's really hard to make a great 3 property one. I can't even begin to factor in the variables where you end up with this perfect book. God only knows...

It's very easy to make a Slayer spellbook. The same goes with weapons. I've got 6 smiths I think, so in reality it doesn't even matter to me at all, because I have so many of every type of book and weapon. This isn't really an inconvience. It's just plain stupid. I mean it's so stupid it would have to be smarter to get stupid.

The only possible logic behind it would be to say, but it kills so many different things it would normally do less damage than something for that particular monster. But, in UO pretty much there's just one type of monster in one place at one time. It's not like we're places where we're overrun with a bunch of abyss or whatever normally. UO just isn't like that for the most part.

What can I say? Thanks for invalidating items that were worth millions and now are never going to be used. Thanks for making the moments when we make a perfect Superslayer unimportant. Nah, what I'm going to do is laugh and pick up one of the crappy things I keep lying around because I'm just like that and do even more damage than before. LMFAO

Give us lemons and we'll make PIE out them.

I might be wrong, but i think it was the slayer damage being increased, not the superslayer being reduced.
Which means that superslayers are still just as useful as they were, and slayers are now useable instead of insta-garbage.

Yea this is true, they all used to be double damage. Now specific slayers are triple. Super Slayers are still useful in say a reptile or undead spawn. Yet, if you are 1v1 a monster a specific slayer would be better.

Hmmh... And if you have 100 % dmg inc in suit, 100 % from Enemy one, and then 100 % from superslayer = 300 %. Making using normal slayer useless since it's the cap.

So superslayer is still good.

I think they are trying to remove the PvM dependence on Chivalry. Look at Mysticism... Heal, Remove Curse, Summons that use Anat/Tactics, weapon enhancing spells, and low mana usage... It kinda seems like they are working on removing the dependence of chivalry by adjusing weapons and items to help players who don't want to have the same exact template as everyone else. They also added properties that would allow a different playstyle to compensate for the leeching ability of Vampiric Embrace.

Then thye missed the boat with nothing resembling sacred journey one of he big chiv perks in my book. I have considered adding chiv to a few not so heavy fighter because of that spell.
