skill totals whats max

ok kinda curious whats the max skills you can have on a template only counting items and skill totals
not counting forms like ferret etc
example
720 total skills normally aloud
ring with 15,15,15
bracelet 15,15,15
total so far 810
add in tali maybe 10 or so not sure
total now 820?

armour etc
whats the max with a skill min of say 20 and no we are not counting joat
that way either elf or human can use them
or if you have diff stats for bolth elf and human what are they?
only counting permanent skill totals nothing else

Including arties like midnight bracers/mark of travesty, crafted spellbooks that give +skills? There are also unique event items that give skill bonuses like the ilthrysis plate, but the folks in the rares forum would be better able to supply that.

Also, maxed number of magic properties on a magic item is 5, meaning for jewelry, you can in theory get 15,15,15,15,15 :D

I think I have a ring that gives over 50 skills (4 +skill properties, each property gives above 10), but not very useful as they are all not related...

I don't understand this part - "whats the max with a skill min of say 20". Are you referring to something like the old sammy method of using items to boost the skill to 99?

I've found a ring before with 5 different skills.

That would make it theoretically possible to have 150 from jewelry (5 skills x 15 each on ring & bracelet)
+20 skills is best on head (mark of the travesty, hunter's headdress), unless you wear the Burglar's bandana (and that has a specific group of skills, one of which has nothing else that gives a bonus to it)
+10 skill from gloves (pugilst)(Stitchers have Healing for Elves only)
+12 Tactics from Arms of Tactical Excellence (better than the +10 music from mantle), or +20 necro from Midnight Bracers
+10 Parry from Ancient Samurai Do
+10 med from legs (elf only)
Several weapons with +10 skill. A few are 1 handed. But best is Dread's revenge with +20 fencing
+5 Parry from Dupre's Shield
+15 combined necro & SS from Bloodwood Spirit Talisman

So, Elven Necro warrior
720 base
150 from Jewelry (not sure which 5 skills would combine to fit best, from the 5 possible groups - and one would want to keep Weapon & Tactics at 90 real skill)
+20 skill Necro or Warrior Mark
+10 Healing from Stitchers mittens
+20 Necro from Midnight Bracers
+10 Necro from Talisman
+5 Spirit Speak from Talisman
+15 parry from Do & Shield
+10 Med from legs
+20 Fencing from Dread's Revenge

With equipment, would probably be something like (if the skill groups work out)
120 Fencing
120 Healing
120 Anatomy
120 Tactics
120 Parry
100 Necro (just enough with equipment to maintain vamp form)
100-120 Spirit Speak
with the remaining 160-180 points scattered in things like Chivalry, Bushido and Med

That's 980, unless someone can come up with something better.

Or if mage template, replace weapon w scrapper. 12 magery 12 eval 12 med !

Skills of a roach mage! But resists would suck...

So Basara's set can be bumped up to 1020 using the two theif artis. Higher, but whether a practical template can be built around it is debatable.

Though I don't see why animal forms shouldn't be taken into account, given that you can maintain them as long as you like, and they do affect your actual skill total.

BTW, goving over my stash of personal and on-vendor jewelry, I THINK that the Jewelry groups break down as follows:

Group 1: Archery, Peacemaking, Healing, Resist Spells, Ninjitsu, Chivalry
Group 2: Bushido, Veterinary, Anatomy, Eval Int, Necromancy, Stealing
Group 3: Disco, Parry, Stealth, Med, Focus, Animal Lore
Group 4: Provo, Taming, Tactics, Spirit Speak
Group 5: Magery, Musicianship, Swords, Fencing

Unknown: Wrestling (group 3 or 4), Macing (group 4 or 5)
