Skill Question and Invasions

Question 1: What are the best things to make for tailoring gains when a tailor is already 105? I'm currently making oilclothes, as someone told me to, but gains are few and far between.

Question 2: Another skill question. I'm trying to raise my mage's evaluating intelligence to 120. He's at 104.5 right now but it's raising very very slowly. Is there any way to help raise it (other than eval inting every player and npc in sight)?

Question 3: I've been told the invasions are over. Is that true and can one go to all the Trammel cities without being in danger of being caught in an invasion.

Thanks.

1. This is answered in the Craftsman forum (which I'm also mod of), but here's the short version.

The Oil Cloth method is meant to conserve materials more than go for quick gain. The "sweet spot" for gains for oilcloths actually ends BEFORE GM (probably closer to 95).

IF you want to use cloth to train, you can probably gain on cloth ninja hoods quicker than the oilclothes, but those are STILL out of their optimum gan range.

Go to the Stratics Tailoring page type in your skill level, and hit enter. Look at all the items on the list that are 80% or less chance to make (without adding in Talisman bonuses). The items between 60% & 80% give the best gains, but at 105 skill, even the hardest item you can make is 68%.

So, it comes down to -
Use a lot of leather for faster gains
use a lot less of cloth to get gains, but much more slowly.

Personally, I took my time and got my tailor gains by filling BODs only.
