Skill jewelry

I don't know what was discussed in the closed forums during beta, so maybe the beta testers will enlighten me. Am I the only one who sees putting 45 skill points per piece of jewelry as massively unbalancing?

I know imbuing is hard to raise and will take a while for people to master (week tops) but still 45 on a ring, 45 on earrings, and another 45 on the bracelet. Plus if the person is willing another 45 on the necklace. With the ability to custom build suits and still have room for at least one more mod on the jewelry ( I kept getting this mod would make this item unstable if I tried to add a maxed 5th property).

Please enlighten me where I am wrong in seeing this?

Did you post this before or after trying out the imbuing skill? How hard is it to add more than one skill or other enhancement to any item? What's the success rate? Are there any other balances put into the system? How hard is it really to raise the skill (weeks? really?).

I'm just curious what you are basing your statements on, because I haven't had time to try the imbuing system yet.

Given the difficulty of putting 5x100 on an item with Imbuing (even before its current incarnation) even "forcing" the mods by having a huge supply of material at hand and just slamming away with a TC maxxed character, 45 skill items will be few and far between (at least outside of outright duping or exploiting) once you account for people needing to train up the skill on a new garg, get the material needed, get the reputation to use the Queen's Forge, etc.

So I doubt that such items will be quite as prevelant as they may seem.

I am basing it on setting the skill to 120, creating basic jewels then adding taming 15 ( 189.1 % chance of success) then adding 15 lore(107.2% success) then added ninjitsu 15 (58 % success) then I added fc 1 (24.9% success) I then added fcr 3 ( 1 % success) but this is where it told me it would make it unstable and didnt even try. I repeated this for earrings bracelet and ring. 135 skill points with one additional mod on each fcr 3 on one, fc 1 on another, sdi on the third. was just seeing what skills could go they seem to be in 3 groups so that max skills is 3. but still this is nuts

actually dumping the skills into it wasnt that hard it wsnt until i got to the 4th mod that the success rate dropped and most attempts was 2 no slamming away involved. just a 120 imbued gm tinker

And it wont be that long before we see items like it on the real shards as I know several people who have hoarded since the announcement of sa so have tons of resources availible to do just that.
