A lot of us Sims decided that in protest of the avatar name we would add sim to the end of our names. Come on all you Sims unite with us in this protest and add Sim to your last name.

LOL...I was born and SIM and I will go out a SIM. I have coined many SIM phrases in the game....probably my favorite is SIMsomnia from which many of us suffer.....come on now Avataromniac just ain't working for me.

*pfft* honestly doesnt bother me...call me sim/avatar/meep whatever - just loving the game and looking forward to what is in store for us in the future.

No one likes change and I think that it will take time to get used to the changes - although there will always be the die hards........

Is this really such a large issue? They're going to be using the name avatar on the official website and when the devs post something - WE can still call each other whatever we like. It's getting old to see a new post about the "avatar VS. sim" war every single day.

QFT/E. More drama and dissention is caused by bucking each and every little change like this than if we just didn't sweat the small stuff and picked our battles based on stuff that actually did matter. Who knows.....it might even get those genuine concerns taken a little more seriously, hence the story of the little boy that cried 'wolf'.

It honestly doesn't matter to me what they are called.

I'm just use to writing sims and they look like sims from the sims 1 so its a hard habit to drop. An avatar is the same thing as a sim, lol.

--When my sim knows how to run through two doors to get to the back yard instead of all the way around the block....

--When my sim is smart enough not to dive into a pool without a ladder.....

--When my sim pees yellow.....

--When my sim learns to get out of bed with someone standing near.....

--When my sim is smart enough to get up from a chair and not get stuck in a corner.....

--When my sim can say no to a serenade......

--When my sim stops randomly flushing toilets even when I don't command her.....

--When my sim stops running everywhere I choose to go instead of walking....

--When my sim doesn't freak out at the sight of fire....

--When my sim actually throws away trash instead of all over the ground.....

--When my sim knows not to block others on the toilet.....

Is just a short list of things that will make me an avatar and not a sim. Till then...I'm sim.

Cought it up! Cough it up! I'm too short to do the Heimlich even though I have the knowledge.....I can't even zoom for help, my wheels died tonight so I'm in a fixed position till the tech comes out tomorrow. Somebody please help that poor woman!

Silver lining: coughed up potato chips have less damage value than a beverage of choice would on the electronics?

We would like to keep some of the stuff we are used to. They have after all changed the game to EA Land and Not The Sims Online. They want to change our currency to something else. Why then do they have to change calling us sims to avatars. I am not one who rejects change but I would think instead of worrying about changing things like our name and our currency they should be concentrating on fixing things in the game that make the game unplayable.

LOL well technically I've always referred to my sims as "Pixelated Playmates" but that almost sounds naughty so it's just 'my' little pet name for my sims.

When I talk to other people who don't know our game about the renaming of terms, I tend to go with FKAS - formerly known as sim.

(For the dis(aster) people, this is what you've stuck in my head for today.)

I agree I'm fed up of feeling angst so Im going with the flow, as long as they fix the lag issues and the game progresses, I've given up and dont give a stuff what they call us...the main thing is the quality of the game.
