Where do vines come from? I've never seen a seed that grows to be a vine :( so wondering how I would get them.

Plant a green thorn in a swamp. A swamp tentacle will spawn. Kill it and you will get a vine as loot.

Whipping vines actually. And if you want to save time, and have a good fighter, kill them in Twisted Weald or Blighted Grove. (grove is safer)
