Silly Hackers....almost tricked me!

All though this is on a WoW account I havnt played in some three years, they tried to get me! I mean, could this be anymore obvious as a phishing attempt?
I mean, at least they are up front about asking me for EVERY shred of information they would need....

On a side note, this account actually was hacked three days ago as i found out.

Oh and on a side note, I went through and looked at all my spam emails and reg emails. It appears they have sent me no less than 46 emails all leading to phishing sites...

so weak.

My UO acct got hacked a week ago and my sons WOW acct got hit the same day, I was lucky I logged on for my taming ggs and my char was naked so quickly changed all my info,
they cleaned him out but he has most of it back now me on the other hand lost most of my gold several suits
but as I was told years ago to not mark my home runes with HOME so I didnt lose them.
To say the least he isn't allowed on my comp anymore

WoW is under attack from Gold Sellers now. Since they forced everyone to convert to Battlenet, which forces you to change your account name to an e-mail address, there are thousands of accounts getting hacked. Apparently, all that someone needs in WoW to retrieve your account info is your Credit Card # and your Account Name. For years, the gold sellers built databases of their customers which contained...surprise, their Credit Card # and their e-mail. Most people use the same e-mail for everything, so the Gold Sellers started hacking accounts by the thousands, stripping them clean. Oddly enough, WoW will actually restore EVERYTHING that you lose, so it doesn't hurt the customer other than inconvenience. By the time the person gets the help ticket in to Blizzard, the gold has been funneled through multiple accounts and sold to some unknowing individual... Pretty big racket going on, but WoW has the authenticator, which is an electronic device you carry around or install on your cell phone. Each time you type in your account name & password, it prompts you for a random 6-8 digit code that your authenticator provides for you. It makes account hacking impossible.
