Probably the underlined bit did it. *grins*
There's something that's always puzzled me though, one of the tags we eventually get after posting here is 'babbling loonie' which in itself is derogatory. It means someone who is stupid and speaks foolishly and incoherently...while some may not mind this tag, it's really not on. So, if it's meant to be a 'joke', then players should be allowed their 'jokes' too.
Taking my cue from O.J. Simpson's book, "If I did it", I will only dance around the topic, as I am not allowed to discuss moderators actions without the looming threat of further censorship.
Were I to comment on the ( unnamed ) moderator's action, I would say that the action was unjust and unwarranted. Censorship and political correctness has simply gone too far in this World if you can't even make fun of a non player character in a virtual world. I am opposed to censorship in general, in its many forms. Placating over-sensitive people for the sake of agreeability is nonsense... it empowers the childish and encourages them to continue to behave that way ( ie. Muslim cartoon threats ).
Censorship does have its place, however. Were someone posting someone's personal contact information, address, and/or work address, they should be forever banned. When the realm of avatar's is breached, possibly putting real people in danger, then there is no excuse for NOT censoring ( ie. recent suicide of gay male when roommates put video feed of him and partner on-line ).
Let's just see how long this post lasts before the thought police... I mean, Big Broth...er... the Super Awesome Mods *winks* take it down.
