Like many of the people that come back and haunt these boards I have not played Siege in years now.

from time to time I really miss it, not so much the game but one thing Siege had that no other game I have played has had, the community, the friends, the rivals, the enemies.

I've bounced between wow and aion and toyed a few times with free shards and you know whats funny is even after all this time I still think of siege as my home...

Like many that have left I kind of hated to leave Siege was really unique and will always live in my memory.

I don't see myself ever going back to UO or the free servers there are so many games out there with visually stunning graphics and no lag I just never could understand why EA/Mythic couldn't get better graphics even their enhanced client is very poor compared to others.

with that, I always remember my time on Siege with fondness no other game has had or will have the community that we had on Siege.

looking at the names of recent posts I don't see a lot of the old timers here anymore but there are a few...

Hello Chimera,

nice to hear back from old timers. I tried Aion for a while aswell (6 month) but never stopped paying for UO. Atleast in UO you can avoid most cheaters...

When they renamed my guild and characters in Aion i felt cheated out of my money and left that nice looking game. In germany they started with 6 servers having 4 channels each and you had to pull tickets to get boss monsters. Within 6 month we were down to 1 channel (channel compares to a facet in UO like trammel1 - 4) per server. Then they "merged" servers. Since names had to be unique we were basically screwed. The devs decided to put 2 letters from the servername at the end of each character and guild name. And i even paid for the preorder which had a guaranteed character name deal ...

Anyways, i have given up on Metin2, Aion & Runes of Magic. I didn't plan to quit UO over them but wanted to try something else. So far UO still has the best support compared to the 3 games i mentioned.
