Seige perilous skill gains are still way to slow can we get ROT removed what harm can it do? There would only bring more players to seige! Its still a harder shard then the rest, because of the fel ruleset and no insurances. Can this please be looked at with a serious look...

*edited* After considering what others said my feeling changed slightly dont remove ROT but take a look at speeding it up a little more 4 months and catching every possible gain not everyone has that kinda time some just wanna play the game not spent half a year to be able to compete*edited*

Yes, and character transfers and advanced characters. You should also be able to win the game on siege perilous via a $100 game code from the UO.com store

Im a new player just moved to siege and i have no problem with ROT, means you go back to using a skill to gain rather than endless macroing.

ROT is okay, just remove the timer between skill gains. And IMO it should take about 3 weeks to get a character to get 6 skills above 100 (that is to say, completely functional).

The daily cap for ROT is fine but lower the timer between gains.

Some other ideas, that may help Siege
I think the main problem with ROT is, we only have one char slot, so if we want to changes our template, the char will become useless in PvP for a while.
Giving us a second char slot would fix that, we could train on one char and play the other and then switch the skills around when done with training.

And don't even speak about Item Insurance, we had fighted for long to rid of alot of blessed items, now we just need to get rid of free bonding of highlevel pets, tamers chould be forced to use their Siege Bless to bond their favorite pet.
It would be ok to let pets that can be used without taming have free bonding as they can't be used for PvP.

I absolutly love this idea about having to use the bless on your pets!!

The RoT system currently is perfect...

take that from someone who been building characters on siege since RoT had been implemented.

We already had this discussion on the Siege boards with several polls. I hope you voted. Those polls were submitted to the DEVS and it's now out of our hands.

Like I said, I hope you voted.

After about 6 months I have one char finished and another very close. my third is almost all gm and I must say I do not mind ROT.

It is very rare in today's UO to have one account so switching back and forth helps it move along.

As a long time player I will say the I think Rot and Rot alone keeps all the IpWOnUOtodaYDieScUmBBAG kids off the shard, they live in the I want it now generation and Siege takes time, something they just can't/won't do.

It is kind of cool to hear a long time vet in vent get excited about getting a click! to me that is old school.

FYI if you need a Greater Dragon PM me I am selling a few!!

That's exactly why I think the timer is fine. This has been a protection issue for the shard for years. Sure from time to time a kiddie will make their way through RoT, but on a whole, it does it's job. Sure it would be nice if more people would stick around long enough to complete their toons, but if the change allowed for more of the kiddies to join the shard, I'd rather keep it a low pop shard...la

Tamers should be forced to use their Siege Bless to bond their favorite pet.
That would be fine provided they do 1 of the following things.

1. Allow us to CBD our Pads of Cu Sidhe

2. Remove the Elf only requirement of riding a dog.

It took you that long it took me 10 days had everyskill above gm level rest in focus till i finished my skills, in a production shard, thats the way all shards should be. {granted i was laid off work for the week and had a lot of time but my point still stands 10 days verus 6 months}

Sorry to say this Sprago... Perhaps Siege is not your shard. I will never sign off on getting rid of RoT for Siege. Never ever... It weeds out the weak. I am not saying you are weak. You did the deal. But others...

wtf ever dude you gotta be kidding im talking about bringing more new players to the shard thats all and now you say i dont belong on seige. Kelmo you know me better then that. By the way, where are you in game lately, you have no right to tell me where i belong, at least i play the game.

Im just sick of only being able to fight only 2 guilds KOC and TNT (as far as factions go) i would love to see alot more guilds come to siege.

Leave ROT what ever just make it alot faster, to bring new players to siege im not against ROT or at least the idea of it, its just way to slow it take 4 months of getting every gain every day to finish a char off completely not everyone has that much time.

Apparently you guys dont want more people to come to siege ive played with alot of other people in the prodo shards most say they would play siege it just takes to long thats not weeding out the weak thats weeding out the more patent nothing more.

One last thing for Kelmo play the game a lot more if you wanna tell me where i belong. Hell for that matter never ever tell me where i belong you have no right. Ilove siege fel ruleset awesome love it no insurance love it would never chage it i just think players should not have to take 4 months to raise a char ITS WAY TOO LONG im not trying to be weasling outta ROT i already did it im talking NEW PLAYERS.

*nods* I am sorry if my words were not well chosen. Totally uncalled for. My apologies.

My stance on RoT remains unchanged, though.

I am a new player on Siege who spent 11+ years on a production shard. I have two characters; one a mage tamer and the other a mage/alchemist/tailor (in early training stage). I do not have tons of time to play and I get bored rather easily so I have always trained my characters by playing the game to gain skill.
I have no problems with the RoT cap but would like to see the timer adjusted down a bit between gains for the sake of those of us who can't spend the time every day to get our RoT gains.

They had it so you could CBD pads of the cu... then they removed the ability to while leaving ninja belts CBDable (like... seriously?)

So now my tamer mage HAS to be an elf to play it like I want to play it... honestly, being any race should be a choice and not forced upon us.

Its not a combat item.. the change is so lame.
