So Starcon, who wasn't around much during his last term and who said he wouldn't be running again because he's not around much, got re-elected ? No offense dude, just doesn't make sense...anyway congrats all.

in his defense: while maybe he wasn't around much he did keep the trade deal up at all times! and I believe that was what got him re-elected over someone completely unknown

Just to clarify a few items. I never stated that I wasn't running again, I said I was thinking about not running because keeping the trade deal going in Britain was weighing on me. Based on the responses in that thread and the fact that no-one else was running for Britain (late in the nomination period someone named Rain was also nominated), I decided to run for Britain again. I figured a poor Governor such as myself would be better than no Governor.

In my defense, this past term I believe I was around a lot more than some may have noticed. I only missed two Gov meetings and was able to get a representative for both of them. I wasn't that vocal chat because I was spending a lot of my time running trade deals for Britain as fast as I could. Other than the 20th anniversary period, it didn't seem like I was getting much help with the Britain treasury balance and it takes 40 trade runs a week just to cover the trade deal cost. This is in addition to the roughly 30 to 40 million of my own gold that I've donated to Britain to keep the treasury balance up. Don't take this as a complaint, I'm just trying to describe what I was doing as Gov.

My approach to the Governor role is that if I'm going to be the Governor of a city, then I need to try to keep the trade deal funded at all times and I also think it should be consistent (not changing trade deals often). The Britain trade deal has been FC+1 and funded the entire time I've been Governor and my goal is to keep it that way. However, this term I may need more help from the citizens of Britain that use the trade deal to keep it funded. I would love to get the Britain treasury up over 20 million, but it will take help and so far I haven't been very successful at mustering up any help.

It also comes down to the citizens of these towns, that want their trade buffs running but don't want to do the dirty work to keep them up. Governors should have strong shoulders, but that doesn't mean all of the work has to fall on them.

Thank you everyone who voted for me! However, given how fluent you are in braille, might I enquire how you knew you were at the correct stone?

I will be becoming a Britt citizen this week to answer your call, I'll commit to 10-20 trade runs a week.
Wooo Whooo!!! I'll be running them also. It seems to me that Britain has got to be one of the easiest city's to run trade deals from since there is a moon gate so close to the city center. Unfortunately it takes a lot of trade deals to keep the city funded, so I welcome the help!!

I also have a vendor set up in New Magincia to sell items for the Britain Treasury. The vendor is named Leetah and she can be found at Baby Dolls house. She is running a little low on stock items right now, but I'll be adding some items soon. All proceeds from sales by Leetah will be given to the Britain treasury. If anyone has some thing they would like to donate to be sold for Britain, just let me know.

Thanks,

Starcon
