Should there be Life Insurance?

Hail: Yesterday in the Etheral Fortress i noticed that the same few people were doing all the Rez's of players. They had gotten down there, and simply logged out. When needed by their Guild or friends, they would just log that charater back in, and do the Rez. While waiting, they wouls also Rez others.

For what? Maybe, in their guild, they would be given something, or a close friend might, but the rest of us, all we even could do was say thanks.

So, since there is already item insurance, why not add player insurance? Same current toggle, but you would target yourself. The difference is that the insurance gold would go to the player that Rezed you. Thoughts?

You can already rez yourself if you work Sacrifice.

No. Besides the fact that item insurance is a gold sink, your idea would do nothing but transfer gold from one player to another. It would also result in a situation where someone didn't have enough gold in the bank, and then couldn't be rezzed by another player.

I also came to a revelation as I was down there waiting to get ressed.

1st, wouldn't it be great if Alchemists could make a res potion?
2nd, nothing can tank anything anymore except a Greater dragon or a sampire
3rd, its really hard to target a mod with ten dragons and words of power all over the screen


but the main thing is, a potion so anybody could res. With all the crazy templates needed to compete in this crazy world there are a lot of people who would like to help but can't, low Chiv and no healing.

Like I already said; work Sacrifice. At Knight you get 3 self rezzes per week. It's a huge help, especially if you hunt solo and especially when combined with Honor.

These people were ressing people just for the sake of being nice. I don't see a problem with that. If they want something more for it, they can charge. *shrug* I've stood down there doing my share of ressing just to help people out. What I got out of it was the chance to help people out.

the idea itself is good, but they way you put it, not workable.

when someone rez's you they really do deserve more than just a ty,thanks,thank you, or a ..

durring my run's i would give the people helping my gift's that alot of my characters on other shard's had. they where blessed so i had them when i got rezed. 50 points each but they add up kinda fast. am positive i gave well over 100k points away just in holiday item's on other shards.
it was a small way to repay the people helping me and other people.

today i rezed and people would bring me bandaids and more recall scrolls, it was very nice. and no one stole my book either
i never asked for anything, just spammed almost out of bandaids and eventually i got more.. like 3,000 more bandaids lol.. thats alot of rezing

anyhow... for those that have helped people from your shard and other shards ( without being stuck up or rude) thank you very much for your devotion to the people of the game. :bowdown:

then there are alot that can but will not help people they are not dealing with or know.
