Should Sigs cost in game GOLD?

FYI... Google is a search engine, not an artist. They do not own any rights to images found through their search engine.

Furthermore, I do believe an artist is due credit for their work. If I am able to determine who the artist is, I include their name on the sig if I use their artwork. I find this acceptable, as I have never charged anyone a dime in game or irl for a sig.

I would like to use my own images, but unfortunately, I do not posess that talent.

Difficult to create a sig for someone you know nothing about, how do I theme it?
What's your character? Red? Blue? Crafter? Warrior? Mage? tamer? stealther? theif? evil? good? human? elf? orc? another race?

oh and if I could create original artwork I might ask a fee, since I can't, I don't.
