Should i train with or without Jewelry for the better gains?

Hi,

playing with my tamer after a few years again,
i'm currently at around 104 taming and 110 lore
and would like to get him up to 120 taming and 120 lore.

I'm failing quite often taming Unicorns, Ridgebacks, etc.

So the question in my mind (for getting the faster skillgains) is:

should i tame those animals with having jewelry equipped?
(Maxing out my taming + lore level, which makes me never
fail and taming more creatures in the same period of time)

Or does the System think, that i'm at a very high Taminglevel,
which would even slow down my skillgains?

(I allready know about the ggs gain, stoning all other skills etc)

I'm pretty sure that the ggs timer is affected by jewels, so always take them off before you ggs. Skills also gain slower if you equip +skill items.

When you train taming, avoid using jewels. The higher your skill is, the harder it is to gain.

Unlike some other skills where it's sometimes more efficient to boost your skill up a little so that you can train using harder tasks, for taming you can find optimal mobs to train at most skill levels.

Now for a different view .....

If all your getting is GGS and your at that level it aint gonna make any difference.

Now if having +2 more taming gives you faster tames then you "MAY" (as in not my experience) get more NON GGS skill ups. There is the back side of that as well if that +2 taming is making a mob more "Trivial" then taking it off will drop you back into the zone.

Your call....

I used no jewels until 70 then jeweled up to kirins and tamed them with jewels until I was at the right level to tame them without. I have gotten to 109.8 natural doing that. Now if I am just doing ggs I do not take off the ring I use for 120 and get my ggs, if I am trying for more I remove it and just keep taming kirins. Slow but it does work

IME, use whatever you need to put you in the butter zone for whatever it is you're gaining on (around 15-20 skill above minimum to tame). I used an array of jewels of different intensities to tame bulls from about 60 real skill up to about 105 real skill.
