Ok, so I recently decided that since I could not find those shillings and crown coins that I would go buy some. So I do, then after I purchase them I notice that they are no longer there, as if they disappeared. Is this normal?

if ya had em in your bank or on your person...any time you buy something from a vender...or insurence...it takes the coins and counts them as 1 gold peice

As stated, if they're in the same container as normal gold, this can happen. Best thing to do is to keep them in containers where they are the ONLY things in the containers and then as secures in your house.

NEVER put them in your bank.

soo. those shillings, they count them as an actual gold piece? Sound kind of odd, Did not use to do that before. But that still doesn't explain why they disappeared from my bag.

They always did that.

I remember when the event first started, I went down and got a bunch then went to buy a backpack to put them all in so i didn't have to go searching in my backpack for all those little coins....bought a packpack and didn't have to worry about searchin...paid for the backpack with all the rat coins I had *laughs* learned the hard way.

So in between "vendor buy" and the item disappearing from the vendors inventory and landing in your bag the item just went *poof* ?
Is this what happened?

Yes because the coins use a coin item ID they are consumed by vendors and other things that auto withdraw from your bank box.

what he is saying * i think* is he went to purchase them from a vender..bought them from a vender, looked in his bag to see the item he bought and it was no place to be found!....only thing i can see happen would be if ya bought something else right after you bought the coins (before you looked) or insured something (before you looked)..only those things would consume them from your bag as far as i know, unless of course you bought them in fel and didnt notice mr ....la or mr chad.

*nod*
They have to actually be in your bag before the game eats them as gold coins though.
*nod nod*

It could be

1. the vendor ate them as payment for itself (not supposed to happen)
2. in buying, the game recalculated your coinage on you, and turned the going into part of your gold stack (which would suck)

Ok, here is exactly what happened. I bought 3 shillings, all were inside a bag, as a package deal. So I bought the bag. I had 3k gold in my main bag, so I went and bought a repair deed for 150gp. I returned to the bank, looked in the bag I bought that were suppose to have the shillings, and the bag was empty.

The vendor pulled the Shillings first, then from your 3k gold.

When shopping player run vendors NEVER carry gold... they pull from the bank anyway, so there's no need.

So your telling me they actually pulled the shillings that I was currently buying? The package was like 300k, sadly enough. Nothing got pulled from my bag, the 3k gold was in my bag before and after I bought it

You baught a bag with 3 shillings in it.
The bag with 3 shillings was in your backpack.
You then baught a repair deed.
No matter how much gold you have in a pile it took the three shillings first and then took 2997 gold to pay for the repair deed.
Then your bag which you thought had shillings in it was empty because you spent them.

It took the shillings when you bought the repair deed(s) AFTER you bought the Shillings.

If you wouldn't have had the 3k in your backpack, it would have pulled what you spent on the repair deeds from the bank instead.

Or better yet, as soon as you buy rat coins, get them into their own house container before buying ANYTHING else.

Money always comes out of your pak/bank, from smallest to largest, in that order. You have 4 one mil checks, a 200k check, 45,000 gold coins, and 300 gold, plus a 1 gold check. You buy something for 52k gold.

1 gold coin check is spent first
300 gold in pak next
45k gold coins next
and 6699 will be taken fron the 200k check, last.

Actually, if the amount exceeds your gold in pack, it ALL comes from the bank. Been that way for about 4 years.
