Depends on what time period we are discussing.

Older shields have BOTH DCI and HCI.

You can still acquire the Museum Vesper Shield, but it has the annoying -1 Faster Casting property.

Essentially, most shields now you will find:

1. A combination of resists
2. HPR (typically on wooden shields)
3. Faster Casting 1
4. The unfortunate -1 Faster Casting
5. DCI
6 HCI
7. A combination of DCI and HCI. Quite lucky if you have a 15DCI/15HCI with FC1 shield. I still don't have one. I have many that come close though.

8. HP Increase (typically on wooden shields...if I recall correctly).

Someone else can fill in the blanks. Any questions or clarification needed?

That's mostly correct. We should just add that the -1 FC shields also have spell channeling.

And you can get resists on crafted/enhanced shields or artifact shields.

And the vesper chaos shield has spell channeling, FC1, FCR2, making it a good choice for mages who have high strength (strength requirement for this shield is a paltry 95).

Oh, and reflect physical damage can also be found on shields.

Correct me if im wrong but hci does not spawn on sheilds anymore

Not wrong, but you can still find shields with that property for sale(and the vesper order shield still has 15% HCI, 15% DCI SC-1 and 80 luck)

Thank you Farsight. Yes forgot the reflect damage modifier and spell channeling as well.

As far as the HCI question, you can still find them from players. Many players like me still have HCI/DCI shields and we let go or sell some when we find better ones.

Some people like hording them.
