I guess the best way to put this is to tell what I want to do and have the forum tell me how to do it.
I want to go to a populated vender shard and come back to Sonoma......(how long before return?)


What is the best shopping shard?
Can I take cash with me?

I would have to say one of the best places to shop would be Atlantic.
You can take as much cash as your bank box and backpack can handle/you can afford.

Once you use your shard shield token and arrive at destination, it wont let you return home until 24hrs has past...

Atlantic is the most populous and therefore has the most to buy; you can take gold with you up to whatever your bank will hold( 150 or 175 items) plus your backpack will hold (125 items). It will also transfer stabled pets.

So if you want to go shopping using shard shields, you would need to claim 2: One for Atlantic, and one for the return trip to Sonoma (and you would need to bring the Sonoma token with you)

It is soooo unfair that I have 3 accounts with a vet age of 8 years and will still have to wait half a decade to get these shields... It is so sad...

First step, remember to have a shield for both the trip there and one to come back - and remember to transfer a token to get you back home on the character you send to the 'new' shard, or in their bank, so you can get back. I know, it's basic, but it's scary what people forget sometimes...

With the shield tokens, anything on your character and anything in their bank - but no pets, stabled or ridden or 'with' your character - will transfer, only bank and backpack.

Atlantic tends to have the biggest range of stuff too buy, but can be expensive too, just because it's so busy, so I'd suggest if you have space make a couple of characters on the shards you might visit and scout them out a bit using the vendor search there to make sure what you want is available, and to find the cheaper prices.

Well it depends on what your looking for.....
While everyone here is sending you willy nilly to Atlantic there are other shards with good shopping..
For instance Mizuho.... Great Lakes... it all depends on your needs.
I will say Hokuto does have reasonable shopping.... and many other shards as well.
You might not see people but the vendors are well stocked.
my suguestion is go on a test character on each shard before you choose... see what is on hand.. you might just find your on a totaly different shard then one offered here.

when i got my shard shields 2-3 years ago i did the exact thing your talking about, from the exact same shard too, kinda strange.
but ya i picked up shard shields for Sonoma and for ATL.
id collect both shard tokens and empty my bank of everything but gold cheque's and id head over there and shop and come home with plundered goods!

but to be honest, over the last 6-8 months ATL is not the best shard to shop on anymore.
your lucky if you can find 110 PS for 700/800k which is insane prices for 110's!

ive actually found better prices on other shards of late, and have a look at some of the HK shards, Asuka and Izumo are high population shards. but at the end of the day you cant beat the selection on ATL unfortunately.

just be sure to take your Sonoma token with you to ATL so you can get back home again!

Atlantic is 10x bigger than most average shards regard populous..except odd exception shards like GL, that have a healthy amount although certainly no were near Atl....

If you are looking purely for selection, Atlantic cant't be beat. If you are looking for good prices, many of the shards mentioned by others would be a better option.

But I think anyone selecting a shield will be remiss if they don't select at least one Atlantic shield. If you ever need to sell something of value, 9 times out of 10 you will get more for it if it's on Atlantic.

Just have to weigh the pros and cons vs your home shard. Last time I thought about sending over a qty of pardons to sell, when I did vendor search the place was loaded with them. So either I had to just let em sit there on a vendor, or undercut everyone to make the sale... which wouldnt have nettted much more than selling them at home. IMO it was easier to just take a bit less at home, and save the trouble.

I was referring to really high value items, such as server births or em items.
