Sherry the Mouse Still Not Working

I just checked my Sherry statue, and got the "I have no news at this time", even though the town criers are all spamming something about either the quest or the invasion.

I thought this was supposed to have been fixed already?

I thought the town cryers were only supposed to give us the news when asked via "news" as well... I am actually kind of glad Sherry isn't spamming away in my house the way the town cryers are right now.

She's not giving anything, even though the town criers actually do have news when you ask them for it.

I also thought that Sherry would give news when asked tied to the Town Crier system. However, if I walk up to a town crier and say "News" I get all sorts of stuff. If I ask Sherry for "News" I get told she has no news at this time. Kinda wondering what the point of getting her was now.

I totally agree with you, Anne. I had hoped to be able to get info on the different attacks and invasions going on but as it stands now I feel like I should of used those points toward something else.

Aye you see...Sherry the Mouse is working for the dark side now. Since like King B left and died there is no one around to give her the good royal cheese. I mean heck she has to cut the cheese herself now...and with her paws, thats like next to impossible to do..Very hard to find a dagger thats a cheese cutter...

She don't want people to know that the towns are under invasion for shes working for the dark side..For they have the best cheese around....and since they work in fel and it smells in Fel......they are the best cheese cutters...

Not sure if this is it, but when the Inu the Crone quest and Moonglow blackrock even were going on, I could double click on event NPC's and Town Criers, and a special menu would pop up. The menu had the title of "Crazy Lady Control Panel." With this panel, I could review all messages currently active, load my own, batch load new messages and delete messages.

At first, I thought it was part of the event, and fiddled with it to see what the NPC was trying to tell me. A friend was with me and I couldn't hear or interact with her while the control panel was up. She ICQ'd me and I realized something was going on. The messages I put in started playing when I talked to the NPC. My friend didn't believe me until she told me to put in the message "Free lap dances in Lord British's Castle!" I did, and the NPC spewed the message! I immediately deleted it...

I couldn't resist the doing something really bad, so I PM'd Jeremy and asked her to fix my character. It was just too tempting!

What I am thinking is, some NPC/Town Crier messages got deleted, NOT that they are silent.

I seem to remember people also seeing some odd messages when they tried to party Draconi during the Magincia event, like they suddenly inherited some of his special priviledges or something. Don't suppose you were one of those guys OM?

Nope, just my former Companion could do those things.
