Old Wolf asked about weekly events, and commencing tomorrow evening at 9:15 CST, we will attempt the first one (not sure if they will be weekly - time will tell). Because Old Wolf commenced the discussion, the start time was left to his discretion. Sorry S.W.A.T., your proposed time was just too early. The main suggested location was the champ spawn near swoops. I have heard that can get pretty hairy and due to the faeries in the area, negative karma gets to be problematic. I have done the tram rat spawn and its fairly tame, may need some help figuring out where it is also -- been awhile since I last did it. The Tokuno spawn is doable also. For the first time, a peerless may be too much to expect. Hard to know who will show. I can always donate a gold skull, if we decide to just go to doom. The time is set in the heading. We will meet by Luna stables, and intend to depart not long after the scheduled start time. Post here if you are interested and let your guildies and friends know. Lets discuss possible hunt locations here. For now, the options will be limited to Tram. Main choices so far: (1) swoop spawn (not sure what it is called); (2) vermin spawn; (3) tokuno spawn; and (4) doom. Feel free to suggest others that everyone might enjoy.

Folks, we're hoping to make a weekly public activity out of this, open to anyone on the shard. Please join us and give each other a hand, and enjoy some Lake Austin activity. Xanthril and I are flexible about what we do, as long as it's generally agreed on.

So just show up, ready to experience something, at 9:15pm CST at the Luna Stables, and I'm sure we'll have a good time doing whatever we do!

I'll spread the word too, and I'll definitely be there for the hunt (depending on what we go after, either on Gamlin or Mylene).

I also had another really wacky idea for a hunt, if one of these days we can get about 5-12 GM treasure hunters together - get a level 6 for each spot on northern Fire/Avatar, and POP THEM ALL AT ONCE (or at least, as many as we have diggers for). It would be like an invasion of elementals, titans, balrons and AW....

Anyway, I will try to be there tonight. If I can make it, it will be the Tamer and a Greater Dragon, unless what ever it is we end up doing eats GD's for breakfast and then I will bring what ever does best vs the encounter.

I know the spawn proposed and I am rather .... hesitant to get involved in Negative Karma but I have no hesitation other wise.

KoL was doing this about a month ago and I was helping for a while so I am fairly certain there will be targets for me.

With that many treasure hunters, we better have some support also. hehe. My treasure hunter has problems enough with one 6thlevel map sight! Good to hear you will be at hunt tonight.

Well, we did Oaks and it went very well. I think everyone had a good time. Decided to move to doom after that, and that was a bit chaotic. Should have expected that not everyone would know how to keep it more controlled, but I stayed through one round and had to leave. Anyone get anything good from Doom?

Oaks was fun, it was nice having everyone together doing something. I think we need something more challenging for next time.

I went down to doom, did a circuit, then had to run for a bit. When I came back, a few folks were left and I nabbed the leggings of bain. A bit later in the night, me and one other guy beat our way through a circuit and I grabbed the divine mask thing. I'd be happy to meet people down there again, I left my character logged there, but I have another character I'd also like to bring in.

After some of us tangled with the Labyrinth's spawn (including a sighting of the near-mythical "Flurry" named air elemental), we were thinking - how about a run at Merkatus, one of these days?

Granted, the loot sucks, but we can always do doom after she drops....

Sounds like a nomination for this upcoming Wednesday. I will second it without knowing anything about Merkatus because I have that much trust in Gamlin. So tell us what we need and where this will take place. Is this the minotaur spawn?

Yes, it's the minotaur spawn - the basic thing with it, is we go into the area of the Labyrinth where the Minotaur artifacts drop, and just start killing things like crazy. Eventually tougher things, and the boss, spawn. The hard part is to get past Rend, Pyre and the occasional named air elemental and drake with non-stealthers, to start it.

I'd like to actually do a fel spawn... but I'm afraid with the event being public, we'd just get chased out right away.

It certainly would be interesting to announce a fel spawn hunt on the stratics boards, but I think that type of hunt should probably be formed a bit less conspicuously. hehe

As for the minotaur spawn, I could probably stealth a mage down there to cast invis on those coming running down, but the group would have to come in sufficiently small numbers where I could invis and then hide myself before getting whacked by the minotaurs. Or I guess someone could lure Rend and the other real baddies off the beaten path so that we won't need to worry about them following.
