Shard IP Addresses

Each Shard consists out of one main IP (which is the one being pinged by the login screen) and two others (Atlantic: three, TC1: one) within the same subnet you will be actually connected to. To ping ["ping x.x.x.x"] a server or get a trace route displayed ["tracert x.x.x.x"], please use the IP addresses below:

The old, well-known DNS names like "shard.owo.com" will only resolve to the correct IP when explicitly listed below!

(For servers with ICMP ping disabled, 'tracert' will only show the route up to the second last hop; 'ping' will result in no answer at all.)

How to get UOTrace and create an up-to-date Server list:

• Download UOTrace from EA's FTP server:

ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/origin/patches/uo/ (not valid anymore)​

If you can get hold of this very old tool somewhere else:​

uotrace.exe V1.01 MD5-Hash: 7d690ee635429bfb74684b0901df42c9 (88'064 Bytes)​

• Create a new file named "server.cfg" in the same directory where you have saved the downloaded "uotrace.exe" and fill it with these lines:

I just need the nearest city to the server or the actual server location for me to choose the server nearest that point, I don't need IP Routings and all that jazz. For instance is Sonoma and other west coast servers near Los Angeles or nearer Silicon Valley or San Francisco, etc and is Atlantic and other East Coast servers near VA or ?.
