Well... i understand the whole "theme idea", so that you get items of a similiar type. But there still needs to be some randomness in place here. Currently it doesn't seem you will ever find a jewel that has damage/hit chance without also having spell damage. A weapon with hit fatigue that doesn't also have stam leech... Waht if you wanted a nice pvp weapon with mana leech? you aren't going to find one.

just a thought.

I agree!!!! Here is an example of something that has me both annoyed and concerned. I only have a few jewels with SSI and they all have fast cast recovery. These have been acquired at different times with different characters.

Why would it matter unless they fix hit fatigue and hit mana drain? It doesn't seem to drain the mana or stamina from players or monsters atm. The only good pvp weapons from shame are the splintering ones. Every hci/dci/di piece of jewelry has sdi and every 10 ssi piece of jewelry I have has fast cast/rec. I have gotten a few plain 5ssi pieces without "bad" mods.

what it effects is if say that ring of haste didnt also have fcr, witch is kinda useless on a warrior by itself, you could imbue something else on it.

Some Hit spell effects require Casters Eval Intelligence vs Targets Resisting spells for them to work right (and no dexer has Eval int there for most of these weapons are useless)

Hit Mana Drain
Hit Curse (I've not seen this on "Shame loot" but some gargoyle artifacts have it)
Reactive Paralyze (not tested) it requires you to Parry your attacker, and is still only a chance to go off

i think the last one is broken. thats why the boura shields are useless..

Prefix: Mystic Suffix: of Sorcery Theme: Intelligence and mana-related
Prefix: Animated Suffix: of Haste Theme: Dex, Stamina, and Speed
Prefix: Arcane Suffix: of Wizardry Theme: Spell casting modifiers
Prefix: Vicious Suffix: of Slaughter Theme: Dealing Damage (incl. Slayers)
I think what we're seeing is that fc/fcr is in the animated/haste category and spell damage increase is falling into the vicious/slaughter category. If they could be put in the arcane/wizardry categories, we might see jewels that make more sense.

I know when SA started the Reactive Paralyze on boura shields seemed to work. I tested it alot against the TOkuno champ spawn while i was finishing parry training. At around 100 parry with like 8 lizardmen fighting me, sometimes theyd get the paralyze sparkles

Totally agree! The is my biggest concern with Shame loot. Some of the categories contain mods that don't go together. Agree that SSI should not go with FC/FCR. And DI does not go with SDI. The Devs need to tie FC/FCR with SDI and SSI with DI... then we'd be in business!

Seems to me most weapons never have DI, which I know might be a silly thing to ask for since shields and jewels can have 30 DI per, but meh.

The SDI on jewels is pretty weird but I wonder how it applies. I'll have to test it post PvP changes but I assume it would only help hybrid necros or the like?

FCR is actually nice to have on a dexxer. Helps Chiv, Bushido, Ninjitsu spam.

Hit Fatigue and Hit Mana Drain are not leech mods by my understanding, but rather they are meant to deplete their intended pools, which creates a situation where having Hit Fatigue/Hit Stam Leech and Hit Mana Drain/Hit Mana Leech will kill the sustain of both your target and yourself (aside from your own regen properties, you won't have anything left to leech after awhile).

I have to test Splintering some more, but the main problem with Splintering is the ability actually destroys a weapon. It's useful in PvP for sure but the weapons don't last very long, so if you get the mod on an item that's brittle or can't be repaired it's pretty much a death sentence for that wep.
