Shadowlord Event in two words.

Shouldn't there be some kind of penalty for spamming such a powerful spell as Armageddon? I tried dropping blackrock to try and blow people up but the results were pretty pathetic.

Also, due to the spamming of said spell through the entire fight and the sheer volume of name tags (Ctrl + Shift is my targeting method), is there a better way of targeting the Shadowlord when it appears?

I dropped two pieces last night at the feet of the spammers. One did like 50% damage to the spammer, the other blew the person up and had them spamming "OooooOOOoooOOOoooOoo" just as the SL spawned -- I laughed so hard.

But overall it's pretty difficult to put it at their feet with the mass of dragons covering everything.

As for targeting, Ctrl-Shift is the best. Right-click away any tags covering the Shadowlord's tag, but really his big red tag makes it fairly easy.

You are my new bff... I had no clue that you could remove the overlaid tags by right clicking. That is so awsome, I will never miss a target now. Thanks a bunch.

Storywise, Armageddon was the most terrible magic in the Ultima games. Even this Armageddon Light should be a big deal and should not be frivolously cast (spammed). I'd like to see some mechanism that prevents the mindless spamming. It is making my UOJournal save file needlessly big.

Personally, I'd like to see it so if you spam the spell, you use up your blackrock with no effect.

Just went to the waste on Europa, it was a joke, with all the spam, people and pets in that small house, by the time I got the health bar to target it was dead. if this is the way its going to be, you can shove it.

You know what would really be funny is if when the shadowlords spawn-blackrock spawns with scattered about the ground. Imagine the chaos that would ensue.

The Problem is, if your going to remove the ability to spam the Armagedon spell then there needs to be something done about all the tamers comming in with the GD's making so it's near impossible for a dexxer to target. The whole reason I started spamming Armagedon was due to 20+ GD's standing in the tiny room when the SL popped and by the time I got the name tags cleared the SL was dead. So the I followed suit with others on the Armagedon spam, figured I would give that shot. It worked, got a cloak and all. Someone tried to blow me up, I took 50% dmg cast heal and then started spamming again. Throwing a piece of blackrock at someones feet doesn't seem to be to bad for someone at the comp so have at it, scripters and afk'rs deserve what they get.

Perhaps before a Shadowlord spawns, it can inflict a certain magical field on the area of battle that polymorphs everyone and their pets into tiny bunnies!

Seriously though, I understand where you're coming from. I'm just going to camp out next time and ignore everyone I don't know that I see coming onto the screen.
