Setting Things to Guild Member access

Could some one please school me on how to set chests and such for guild member access?

I know how to access the security on an item. I need to know:

Does it have to be the Guild Leader that sets the access?

Does the GL have to own the house they are trying to set the chests in?

As a guild member I have tried to set chests in my personal house to Guild Members access and it doesn't work. I have recently become a guild leader and need to know this information.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You All :)

Any guildmember can set the access to a chest to "guild only" (I think this excludes "ronin" guild ranks). The guildmemeber has to have sufficient house privledge though to secure contatiners (owner or co-owner). Then the "guild access" is an option just as "friends" or "owner only". I just checked this with and it works just fine.

Also, in my experience, the Guild member only access is based on the guild of the Specific Character that secured the item. So, if you are THB, for example, and secured a chest for guild, in your UBB character's house, only the house account and THB characters could access it. Not even friends and co-owners could access it if not the right guild. Changing the access setting of an already secured chest does NOT change it to the guild of the character doing the changing, if different from the original placement character. I once had a co-owner character lock himself out of a chest in my main account's house by changing it to guild member security.

At least, unless I was bugged at some point (you never know) when last I used that setting.
