Soon i am going to sell a castle, but i have no idea how i would go about it... it is in Fel, of course, and that would make it difficult to transfer the gold if it is over 125 mil.... i dont even know ho wmuch to ask for it, and the market is too shakey to trade for items..... what would you do?

Just remember, if you have trouble selling it I will gladly take the castle for free.

I doubt you will need a broker for a fel castle last I looked a tram castle on LS was only going for 100 to 125m so fel castle shouldn't be worth more than 100m.

As a buyer I don't think I could justify spending more than 100m on a castle unless it had some kind of unique location.

It varies per shard. Castles on Trammel Atlantic go for 600-800 million. Felucca ones bottom out at 400 million I think.

Put it on a trial account then sell the entire account and spring for the 30 bucks EA account transfer service to get something in writing (eWriting) that you actually gave something to the buyer in exchange for their cash?

After they take possession of the castle they may attempt to stop their payment to you by claiming you never showed up ingame and gave them anything.

Apparently that happens fairly often...

This is why house trades should be done via a "house vendor" or at least have an option, you want to sell your house? ok well click the selling button and a little guy with nothing but a deed to the house hes in will stand at the sign with a specified price, as soon as someone buys it the house vendor teleports to the estate agent and goes to sleep waiting for the origional owner to come claim his big fat check.

It also means you dont have to advertise your selling your house so theres a plus :p

The last time I was buying a tram castle (300mil), I arranged the following method with the seller: I will hold 110mil checks and 15 items worth 190mil. Those items, such as transfer tokens, crimson, tokuno dyes, etc.), have commonly accepted prices. I promised to buy them back after the transaction. The 10% broker fee is too excessive, even worse than the realtors in RL.

Who charges that much?

When i was an uoauction2-broker way back ago, the rule was 5% but never more than 500K, even if somebody would sell Lord British Castle

And for me that rule wasnt limited to uoa2-trades, but i charged the same for deals out of that site.

If on LS, I would use the Two Auction house services, FATE and YGV. They are reputable and very trustworthy.

To recommend myself might not go over so well, though I do offer the service on Lake Superior. Barring myself, I would recommend DVI.
