How will this virtue decay with the new virtue decay rate changes?

From the publish notes:

The total virtue point cap has been increased so that it is easier to maintain Knight rank.
All virtues now decay at the same rate as the current rate for Valor. (This is a significant decrease in decay rate for most virtues.)
Skills that had their decay rate reduced now spend virtue when you use them.

Honesty is not a virtue that you can access through the virtue menu, but you do USE it every time you make a purchase.

Will it decay at the rate of half a dot per week at knight like the other virtues or will it decay a little bit each time you make a purchase?

Currently testing this and spending all my gold on empty bottles

Nice write up! I'm curious to see how this is going to work out. I think in the end, the discount has to be pretty dramatic in order to be worth it. It looks like I could spend slightly more time earning gold, or a LOT more time gaining the virtue and come out about the same. I buy a lot of lobster traps in bulk, so maybe it could be useful for that.

If each Tier gives a extra 10% then Knight would give 30% reduction and that is a lot.

I just reached Follower of Honesty last night, and I confirm that the discount is increased to 20%. Did anyone get to Knight of Honesty to verify if the discount rate is really 30%?

Has anyone tried buying saltpeter? Thats really the sole purpose I have for bothering with the virtue.

Trying to find the Lost items is one hellacious timesink and isn't worth the time for anything lower priced than the saltpeter.

How fast does it seem to decay? I agree, this would be most useful for imbuers who stock up on gems.

In my experience, you lose one dot per week at Seeker of Honesty, and you don't spend any Honesty points when purchasing items from NPCs.
So (assuming that the decay rate is the same at higher levels) you need to turn in 6 items per week to the correct NPC to maintain your current level of Honesty.

Yes, Honesty also grants you a discount when you buy saltpeter.

I have knight and you get a 30% discount but it sux because i ran around buying blank scrolls for about 20 minutes and lost knight - talk about bs - totally worthless - there's no way to keep knight for any reasonable amount of buying - whoever thought you should use up the virtues so fast like this should be tortured appropriately - they should have to work honesty up to knight and then have to buy a couple of things and watch it go back to follower - i can't think of a better torture than that considering how ridiculously hard it is to get to knight in the first place

higher cap - not expanded tiers, Valor already had 1 dot over max, i don't think it received any change. So they just added 'hidden' dots over the top tier? How many?

run around for hrs to save a few K? Naw, gotta be more to it than that. Does Honesty not work for buying replica stuff?

Sounds like the better idea is to just sell the things you find and let some other sucker play w/ the virtue

Well if you have some friends helping you to seek the lost items that helsp alot...I ran around the entire sosarion coastline to find 10 items...returned them to correct owner only to find out i still havent got one lousy dot LOL....Sorry guys I dont have time for this...Hell even fishing is more exciting...actually crabbing is very relaxing compaired to this hehe
Where is the spot to find the most items btw?
