[Price Check] Sea Serpent Scales broken stack

Okay, I cleaned my houses up, and I found several stackes of sea serpent scales. The stacks are named "sea serpent scales". They weigh one tenth of the stack size, but does not say how many there are. They do not stack with eachother, and when you take from the stack it cannot be recombined. I have many of these scales, and have no idea how common they are.

Can anyone tell me anything about these?

They are fairly common (in comparison to other bugged items), and are treated like any other dragon scales for purposes of crafting or donation to the Britain library.

At least, that's what I've heard before.
