I was curious about the cost of creating and firing the boat cannons.
Assuming the base cost of NPC ingrediants:
Ball of Yarn - ~20 (I can't remember the exact NPC amount, but it takes 5 to build a bolt and a bolt cost 100)
board - 3
cloth - ~2 (a bolt cost 100 and give 50 cloths)
ingot - 5
saltpeter - 32
sulfurous ash - 3
water - 0
Purchasing a Boat
- Tokuno - ~150000
- Gargoyle - ~200000
Creating the one time tools - 44
- Ramrod - 24
- Swab - 20
Creating a Heavy Cannon - 9225 each
- For Tokuno Boat (x5) - 46125
- For Gargoyle Boat (x7) - 64575
Creating a Light Cannon - 4650 each
- For Tokuno Boat (x5) - 23250
- For Gargoyle Boat (x7) - 32550
Prepping & firing 1 cannon, once
- Heavy Grapeshot - 1641
- Light Grapeshot - 1015
- Heavy Cannon Ball - 1637
- Light Cannon Ball - 1011
This doesn't even include the cannon repair from firing them, nor does it include repair of any damage the ship receives from return fire.
This is just an interesting look at the start up cost of sailing the high seas.
The base cost to purchase a Gargoyle ship (~200000), deck it out with 7 Heavy Cannons (~64575), and fire 5 Heavy Grapeshots with each (~57435) tallies to to approximately 322054.
I'm curious about the difference in damage output between a Heavy Cannon and a Light Cannon.
I'm also curious about the difference between firing Cannon Balls and Grapeshots.
