scripters/hackers........

When will EA/Mythic take action agaisnt scripters & hackers? I'm so tired of lagging out when certain people are around, not only on Chesa[peake but everywhere, all is good until some people are either hidden scripting in doom for stealables and I lag out and die, isnt it time something gets done about all this? I'm sure I'm not the only one here that suffers due to people using those scripts/hacks that [censored] everybody else around them?

well i paged gm today and told them i wanted to report an unattended macroer...about 1 and a half hours later i noticed the guy moved...then disapeared...he was in buccaneers bath.. well right across the bridge is a room with moongates and a sign that says " u are here for unattended macroing/scritying" somethin of that nature. i seen the guy and the gm then they both vanished.. i page back and say "wow not even a thank-you" then a message saying thanx and i wouldnt know anything else because of the pirivacy act...so who knows what they did with the guy... all i wanna know is..shouldnt there be a reward for turnin in scriptors.. shouldnt we police our own towns... i wanna institute the uo neighborhood watch program...lol... a guild with the soul purpose of runnin around and catchin people unattended and scripting... what do ya think?

Aye, board rules make it tricky to discuss any proactive anti cheat measures properly.

There must be something easy... that can be done!!!!

UO Assist goes a long way towards the unattended macroing and scripting issues so why not just make it unusable with UO altogether???....yah some peeps will moan they have to due stuff the long way ...but more will be happier too if it stops the cheaters..

People have used it for so long, that if you were to disable it, people would just move on to illegal alternatives.
UOA is controlled, the rest isn't. I personally feel the advantages of UOA are just part of UO, rather than an advantage over the other players.

Whoah there, I'm a very good girl with my UOA but until KR gets all the bells and whistles, I'd rather not regress to getting RSI off potion kegs again heh.

UOA isn't the tool of choice for cheaters either.

I'm personally dead against the idea of a uo police

Having been the innocent victim of some stupid players who thought I was unattended scripting, my crime? standing still while fighting a mob for honor gains lol
They made no effort to interact with me .. they could of come and said hi .. but no .. nothing
yet if it was down to these people I'd be kicked and banned from the game and probably hung, drawn and quartered in real life.

Yes I agree something needs to be done to stop the cheaters .. but leave it down to the people that run the game and the gm's

page and move on if you suspect anyone of cheating .. at least the gm's give you a chance to say 'hi I'm here I'm not unattended'
