Scripter in heartwood. Napa

This person has been doing the archers quest for over a month 24/7. They are invis so you cannot see who they are.
They turn in items faster than normal and you can't hear them making anything.
After they turn in the quest, you can hear the noise after and you can see the pouch floating in the air and you can see the garbage can talking right after. I have reported this many times and they keep telling me I have to send them a name so they can investigate. How can you turn in a name if they are invis? I have even asked the GMs to come make him visible so I can at least get their name. They told me I needed to send their name. pffft that was a waste of about an hour of my time waiting on them.

You'd be surprised at how many different people are in Heartwood scripting on a daily basis.

You can assume BODS and Heartwood quests have at least 5-10 different people with varying sizes of operations doing them around the clock.

Unfortunately the systems need a major overhaul since they can get their operations back up within a few hours of when they are banned. Often they do get banned, but are back in such a short time that no one really notices, or thinks that they weren't banned in the first place.

That's just crazy to me, to allow these people to mess up the game for the rest of us. And for the ones that say its harmless. That is just not true. How much is a barbed kit worth now? Less than 2 mill in some place. Not long ago you couldn't find one for under 5mill. That's because the game is over run with them. The honest people trying to get bods and fill them, it might take weeks or months to get one. Now its almost cheaper to just go purchase them than to spend time rounding up bods to fill one. Now they have just eliminated 2-3 honest players that were trying to sale their bods that they collected legally, they almost eliminated the bod book makers.
Now if they do that to other professions the game mechanics are all off. And your tailor, lumberjack and other resource collectors are out of business.

Yes they are in Heartwood. Go stand near the archers quest garbage can. You will hear the noise when they accept the reward for turning in the quest items. You will see the garbage can talking ( you have to stand right next to it to see the words) and in less than 20 seconds you will hear the noise all over again. There is no way that I know of legal to do it that fast. To accept your reward, check the pouch to see if you got anything useful, trash it, open the gump to accept a quest that you have to make that doesnt use up all of your boards or bolts. then make the item then target the quest item and turn it in takes a while to do. some how they are doing way faster than i have ever seen. Even the simple dart quest takes a while because there is a timer on that quest. It takes a couple of minutes to come back up.

I totally agree, the BOD, Heartwood and resource harvesting systems need a major redo as soon as the devs can do it.

You'll notice lately that the barbed kits and heartwood kits have been dialed down a notch, and now they are focusing on blacksmith BODS to get runic hammers.

Those three systems need a do-over to make them a lot less tedious for casual players and even the gap between normal players and scripters.

Right now it's dependent on redoing the systems, they severely need to redo them to stop the scripters.

omg. My tracking is only 5 and i wanted to raise it a little more so i kep trying and there are 4 players invised right next to the garbage can. No wonder they are turning them in so fast. There are 4 of them running this script. I stayed there over an hour and no one has moved or went and got more resources.

update. Raised tracking up to 10 and now count 5 invis (all of them have womens names)next to the garbage can at the archers quest. I walked around and found 1 doing the carpenter quest. I dont have characters on other shards. Im wondering if this is the norm on any other shards?

Pretty much, I think I counted 8 or 9 on Atlantic when I checked last week doing the heartwood fletcher kits, and a few doing the carpentry one.

For even more fun take a character with detecting hidden over to Heartwood on Felucca and start snooping them.

The ones who are actually there will usually move away while the rest just continue standing there.

Oh heck, they're hiding beside the trash cans aren't they? I was thinking if you bagballed around the trash can it might not be completely illegal to do that and would stop them binning the crap, thus eventually nuke their bots. But if they're already where they needed to be, that messes up the theory Phooey.

How long can a bot go before it needs more resources though?

They have been there for the last few weeks. Tracking always picks them up as long as your human even with 0 skill, an elf needs the 20 a human char gets automatically in ea skill. be nice to know how the wood gets to them to stay there all that time....

No they don't need, they can just throw the reward bags on the floor, one in each other. They only keep the good talismans and recipes, and the runics of course.

I feel like heartwood runic kits are kinda a mess because of how bad the bows they usually produce are.

The relative swingspeed of archery weapons is so low that to be able to seriously consider a bow for pvp, it's got to have a serious stroke of swingspeed in the runic properties. Primarily because of this, you can blow through an entire heartwood kit and get NOTHING you would want to keep, use, or sell. I've been there and done this (it was someone else's kit, at least), and hear the story told a lot. 15 pieces of crap that you can't use often come out!

At one point I was on test shard blowing through that heartwood kit they give you, to get a feel for what you get. You have to blow through the equivalent of a whole lot of real heartwood kits to get something you'd really want to use. A lot. And it's all about the swingspeed being missing from so many.

In this situation, and considering how terribly long a process it is to get even a single heartwood kit and how few bows you get from each one, I don't give a sh*t about someone who might be scripting heartwood kits, be it an individual with his own archer or a ******** asian operation generating them strictly for resale. Heartwood kits are f*cked up all around because of the swingspeed thing rendering most of the bows crap! I won't be buying the darn things until they are closer to like 5-8 mill, k, and on my shard they run 14-16. And if their rarity increases even further, well, feel free to increase the rarity of a turd if you like.

Friggin resists on a bow. Luck on a bow. And, no swingspeed. It's like, get this sh*t out of my face? Or worse, when something comes out that would have been nice, but with no swingspeed, what are you going to do with it? Use it and pick your nose between shots, perhaps?

edit: and no I'm not one of the people down in heartwood scripting the things.

Honestly, I would love to agree with you here. But heartwood scripts are so ridiculous there would be 0 kits on any shard if it wasn't for the scripters. No normal person can legitimately earn a kit in a decent ammt of time, unlike bkits. I would include hammers, but they pretty much scripter only too. Tailor bods are the only system that seems to work.

The only way to fix heartwood scripter is not to ban them, but to make the quests worth doing or fun for the average player. If everyone could feasibly gets their own kits they wouldn't buy from scripters.

I generally get about 5 of 15 really nice bows from a heartwood kit.
