Scribe Book Copying

I am trying to remember when you copy a book you need something to seal the book so no one else can write in it. I have copied the book no problem, i was informed of a red feather but i have searched high and low to no avail. Anyone kindly remember or can point me in right direction?

not a feather, but a red leaf from certain player-grown plants.

The "leaf" uses a graphic that was originally meant for feathers.
