Is there a reason why the scribe BOD dye doesn't work on Scrapper's Compendium?

That's weird.. The Natural Dye versions work on Scrapper's...
Why there are two versions of the same dyes is the real question...

What is really frustrating is the, highest reward, talisman for upgrading spellbooks doesn't work for Scrapper's either.
I reported this on test center, it won't dye scrappers, nor tome of lost knowledge. The only thing I could think of was they don't have 'spellbook' in the name.
