Sampire

I had a couple questions about the Sampire since I see so much information on it and people's templates/gear... I wanted to give one a try. I'm returning after 5 or so years so a lot is new to me and I'vew always been just a mage... not a fighter. Just a quick question about the gear that I wanted to make sure of:

I got most of my information from:
http://vboards.stratics.com/1927012-post2.html (which needs to be stickied), and just wanted to confirm that right mods I need to have when building my suit:

Hit Chance Increase
Defense Chance Increase
Swing Speed Increase
Hit Lower Defense (on mace and shield glasses)

Hit Mana & Stamina Leech on a weapon

Does all that sound right?

I'm looking at the suit model from here:
http://vboards.stratics.com/1830874-post5.html

Anyone care to comment/correct my understanding of anything?

The most essential mod for any dexxer is defense chance increase (dci). Dci is capped at 45 and should be your first priority in terms of suit mods.

The next things to consider are damage increase (di) and swing speed. As a sampire, your life will depend on damage output. I have 60 di on my suit and 40 on my weapons; some folks prefer to have 100 on their suits and 0 on their weapons.

The amount of stamina that you need will be determined by what weapon you use. Are you leaning toward certain weapons at the moment? We can help you figure out how much dex, stamina, and ssi that you need. [Note: if you are using healing on your sampire, you will want at least 140 dexterity, as this will allow you to bandage self at maximum speed].

45 hci is ideal, but if you can't reach this threshold, spamming lightning strike will make up for the missing hci. My suit is a nice, mid-range suit and only has 40 hci. I seem to do ok.

Hit lower defense from M&S is a great addition. You're exactly right about weapon mods, too: you'll need enough di and ssi to reach your damage/swing speed cap, as much hit mana leech as possible, a slayer (if applicable), and if there's room, hit lower attack and/or hit stamina leech.

If you have room, some lower mana cost and mr can help keep your specials chaining. Using hit point increasing items can increase your survivability.

I was leaning towards Soul Seeker. I actually had it when I played before and it has some good mods on it(I think).

As far as the suit, I was thinking aboutgoing all out on arties like Folded Steel, Stormgrip, Jackal Collar, Armor of Fortune, Crimmy, Conj Trinket, etc. Money isn't really an issue for a suit so I'm willing to spend some high cash amounts on a suit with all artifact pieces, and maybe use arms(which I have no arty written down) to balance low resists.

But after seeing everyones hubbub about Thunderz' suit, I wasnt sure if I should go the woodland piece route, or stick to my original arty plan.

I think the actual skills are going to be:
Bushido 120
Parry or Healing 100
Tactics 100
Anatomy 100
Necromancy 100
Chivalry 60
Swords 120

Was debating between parry and healing based on the post in the first link I gave... and using the stratics Parry calc... I didn't see a huge improvement from 0 to 100 that made me jump out and say WOW, ya know?

You dont want to many arti's in your suit as they dont pack enough punch when it comes to resists.

Only 2 id have in a suite are fey legs and mace and shield glasses as there the only 2 that offer enough benifit.

As you'v been gone 5 years you would of seen the "Artifact era" but now adays artis arent worth much cop compaired to what imbuing offers.

When i left and came back i spent 200mill on arties, only to find out they are pretty much crap now apart from a few, i dont think iv seen anyone with an orni or AOF in a long time and they used to be the best you could get..
