Sampire vs. Greater Dragon - Strategy Help plz

OK, I give up. I get my butt handed to me every time when I go toe-to-toe with a Greater Dragon. Any suggestions or tips would be very appreciated.

Here's my Sampire:
120 Swords
120 Parry
120 Bushido
100 Tactics
100 Anatomy
100 Necro
60 Chivalry

116 Hit Points
159 Stamina
56 Mana

Using a Radiant Scimitar (Energy and Poison Damage):
Dragon Slayer
62 Life Leech
50 Mana Leech

70's resist suit (fire resist drops to 65 when using vampiric embrace)

So my skills and equipment seem up to par but I haven't figured out the correct strategy especially if I'm in Destard. Any tricks and tips would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Your skills seem to be fine, your suit has 2 weak points. One is only 116 hp, the other is 65 fire resist. Also you didnt post your hci and dci.
On weapon you may want stam leech, mana leech and hla, the life leech is more or less useless here.
As for strategy, greater dragons have wrestling above 120 and can do a large amount of damage very fast. Just to give you an idea, i have seen my garg wammy with 50 hci miss 3 or 4 swings at the beginning of the fight , that alone was enough time for some dragons to put a serious dent into his 150 hp.

With a weapon without feint and your stats your best strategy will be hit and run below 50-60 hp. In destard, lure him away from the other spawn to get some space to run. You should also use all pots ( except cure ofc ), consumables, trap box. Greater confusion blast and self honor help to deal with unwanted aggro.
Make best use of evasion and confidence .
Also enemy of one can be a problem in destard.

There are some weak greaters out there that dont require all this stuff , but the ones with high very high wrestling can be dangerous.

Agree with Klaupac. Focus on the following:

- Weapon needs HSL and not HLL.
- Try a different weapon type that you can swing at max speed and has either the Armor Ignore or Feint special. Try a Diasho.
-Go in after Honor, Enemy of One, Consecrate Weapon, and in this case Evade. Get off your Feint early then LS, LS, LS, Feint, LS.... Etc
- Hit points should be higher. Try to go over 130.
- Stamina needs to be higher so with debuffs you are still over 150 stamina.

Try those ideas.

This. Also, I prefer healing over parry: I'd drop parry, raise healing to GM, and raise tactics to 120. With the feint special and healing, you'll be a hard man to kill.

You can heal Bleed with bandages, even without the Healing skill on your character, which makes it easier to Confidence when jousting.

A greater strength potion will give you at least another 10 HP.

Use a Hatchet or Bladed Staff for Armor Ignore.

If the Greater Dragon is over half health it's breath will do over 60 (with 65 fire resist) so don't stay on screen if it looks like you could die from that.

With a Dragon Slayer and Armor Ignore Bushido is serving no purpose so if you have it on a soulstone you could swap it out for Ninjitsu and use Mirror Images to avoid getting hit.
