Sampire Template Question

I've got a quick question or two.

Skills:
In most of the templates I'm seeing you all discuss you're going with Anatomy and no healing. Now, with the Necromancy and VE changes I can see why you had to loose healing but I'm not sure Anat is still all that valuable.

Is there a reason you're going with Anat instead of SS? Seems like SS gives me more bang for my points than anat. At 61 points of anat I only get a couple of more damage per hit. But with 61 SS I gain a mana-> life ability, increase the length of curse weapon affects, and and able to summon a minion to assist. In Wammy form it increases the amount of mana leeched.

Weapon:
I'm going with both swords and Fencing, got them both 120'd. But in the swords area I'm seeing people who are using the Ornate Axe. Checking the Stratics page it seems like the Bladed Staff is the higher damaging weapon. Has anyone used both and could make a recommendation of one over there other and why? I'd be swaping with the 1H to quaff pots and such.

120 Swords/Fencing
120 Tactics
120 Bushido
120 Parry
99 Necro
80 Chiv
61 SS

Thanks,
Q

You're talking about the functions of wraith form vs vamp form. Sampires don't cast curse wep because of the karma loss, which reduces the effectiveness of Chiv. Anatomy is used to increase the amount of damage dealt, which increases the amount of life leeched. If you're going to run SS, you may as well go all the way and just use wraith form as a Wammy.

To my understanding Karam only counts towards the amount you heal with cleanse wounds, and the level of poison you can cure.

The minimal amount of Karam loss can be made up in killing creatures to get your honor back up. True. A vicious never ending cycle....but that's life.

Karma helps the duration of Consecrate Weapon, Divine Fury, and Enemy of One as well.

Consecrate is going to be the main thing. But not a problem if you have elemental damage type weapons or just simply keep your karma up.

Divine Fury not lasting very long? That's fine. I know I very rarely use it for anything other than the full stamina refresh.

Enemy of One will still last at least a minute and a half at low-ish karma.

Anatomy, at GM, gives an extra 2 second bonus (or something like that) to Evasion, which is basically your God-mode button. Also I believe that the damage bonus you get at GM Anat is greater than taking Tactics from GM to Legendary (So GM Anat/GM Tactics does more damage than 80 Anat/120 Tactics). Don't quote me on that last bit.

You need to have both Anatomy and Tactics at GM to get the bonus, not just Anatomy.

There is a 5% increase for having GM Anatomy, which is much less than the difference between GM and 120 Tactics.
